Wired Glukken and slig eggs!

We already seen what a Mudokin egg looks like. What about a glukken and a slig egg? Or do Glukkens hatch from eggs? I alweys thought glukkens kind of get born out of Margret not from eggs. Because in the concept picture of Margret I don't see any eggs lieing around on that platform. All I see are glukkens standing around her. And as for sligs I would like to see what a slig egg looks like.

If there are glukken and slig eggs then maybe they would look very awkward looking. Maybe they won't look like regular eggs. They could be oddly shaped to resemble what an adult glukken or slig looks like. kind of like locus with their outer shell when they shed. the outer shell looks like the locus it self but just a shell that resembles them lieing around.

there are no eggs around Sam too

Sorry I don't have pics of slig or Glukkon eggs
only mudokons

Queen Maggie gives birth to live Glukkons. She pushes out bucketloads of Gluks at once. As for Sligs, well, they are at some early point larval, so eggs seem to fit in.

I think each race lay eggs except Vykkers...
since we know there is a slog queen it will be logical to have slog eggs

Is there a Slog queen? I've never heard mention of one.

And like I said earlier, Glukkons have a queen, but not eggs. Not their own, anyway.

Max there is most likely a slog queen. Alf mentioned that the glukkons have it locked up somewhere and make sure that all the slogs are bred in captivity so that they learn to trust their slig masters. Usually a serious answer from Alf is a reliable one.

Birds are warm blooded but they lay eggs (Mudukons are also desended from birds)... Platapuses are warm blooded but they lay eggs... Ekidners are warm blooded but they lay eggs... So Slogs can lay eggs and still be warm blooded...

People seem to forget that nothing is clear-cut in nature...

... Speaking of which there is a type of mole that is a super speacies that gives birth to its young live... So not all the creatures on Oddworld have to come from eggs (even if MOST are a super speacies).

... And as for the idea of Rectangular eggs for Slogs... I dont think its likely... I heard that OWI makes all of their creatures biologicly posible, so that people will never get borred with them (since they seem so real)... Sure there are Shark speacies that have strange cubish shaped eggs... But that has evolved to help keep the egg turning in the waves and ocean curents.

You know that is an interesting thought. We know that most races on Oddworld are born from a queen but what about the wild life? Do they just have sex or do they have a queen too? I never heard of something like a slog queen or a scrab or paramite queen. Who knows! I alweys thought Vykkers create most of the wild life we see on Mudos like fleeches. I bet ya that they also create Slogs. You never see wild slogs running in the wild like scrabs or paramites. I have this feeling slogs come from Vykkers.

If they're a type of bird, then why can they turn to an entire flock of them if they die? ;) Just a thought.

Besides, there's no real saying whether the birds on OW are warmblooded too. OW creatures may have a completely different metabolism not dependant on temperature at all to work (please, no chemists reply to this *laughs*). They may be called birds, but they are on Oddworld. They may not BE birds.

I doubt the Scrabs and Paramites have queens, seeing as they have nests in Scrabania and Paramonia. One the one hand these could just be their sleeping nests, but then again those holes are way to small for any Scrab or Paramite to squeeze into.

And where did I read about live-born Glukkons? I've no idea. But I'll do some mega-research this weekend, if I can find time.

i cant quite imagn a scrab having sex cause they just shread any animal that comes to close (well within there teritorial bounds) and i think they would shred a female (possibal future mate or not)
i think that they could be asexual or possibly when they die they release something that creates a spore which a new scrab comes from (dont ask me why but i really what at least one creature to be able to have been made by a tree or plant)

I think that for the scrabs and paramite, onmy the men fight... and there are some woman in the nest for the reproduction and only do that...

Scrabs might have a breading season... This could be when any Scrab that wants to become a Alfa Scrab or Alfa Scrab that wants to increase the size of its pack makes the long migration to a nesting grownd. There they could adopt some of the Scrab Queens eggs and take them to their nest (still within the nesting grownds) where they then would care for them and gard them from other Scrabs incase they're intested in stealing a almost ready to hatch egg (to save its self the effort of nursing it). Once the eggs hatch they imprint the nursing Scrab as their parent and so the nursing Scrab becomes leader of the new Scrabs.

Paramites on the other hand I think would have alive young and so they would imprint the Queen as their parent so would only serve it... The older generations then would probly then act very communally in the bringing up of the younger generations because they would feel it would still be seving their common parent/Queen.

Mudokons are a superspecies, they have a "queen" which asexually produces the many eggs that make up the mudokon race. We don't know what happens when a queen dies but my guess is that the old one lays a new one well ahead of time just to be safe.

Glukkons are the same as mudokons (reproductively speaking) except they give birth to live young.

Sligs also have a queen. We don't know if they are born live or in eggs but they do have a "larval" stage.

Vykkers are hermaphrodites born fertile. They can have babies whenever and wherever they feel like it.

Slogs have a queen.

Gabbits reproduce sexually. They have special spawning locations like salmon.

Scrabs probably produce sexually and have a mating system like lions. One male (the Alfa) and a bunch of females that follow him around.

Fleeches were created by Vykkers. I have no idea how they reproduce in the wild.

I don't know how elums, meeches, paramites, shrykulls, slurgs, fuzzles, meeps, bats, bees, worryfish, birds or interns reproduce (although I have some good guesses).

I hope that helps and I hope I didn't miss anything!

Edit: Oops I did miss some. Rats, fireflies and elderlings as well as many creatures that have not yet appeared in any games. I don't know how they reproduce.
