Because some of those screenshots were taken when he was at Level 47, while others were taken while he was at Level 49.
Why not just record a 2 second clip?

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive

I can't play it too often, but in moderation I find it an enjoyable game.
This used to be my favorite game. I loved everything about it. The engine. The visuals. The fine tuned movements. The skill. The beginners curve. The Ceiling. The strategy. It was truly amazing and pulling clutch moments brought a feeling almost unparalleled. But, I eventually quit, because I got tired of getting kicked from teams for my voice. At first I understood, my voice was... well awful and distracting and just overall unbearable. But now it's well in it's place and is rarely ever questioned. The teams never have an issue because I'm transgender, they literally kick me off because I'm a woman. It just kept happening.

Two things wrong with that:
1. Getting kicked off your team and replaced with a BOT of average or so skill, requires majority team vote.

2. Being transgender is irrelevant because your team would not know about it.

The fact that they never had an issue with it, means you brought it to their attention.

I think she's saying, EVP, is that she gets kicked out for being a woman - the voice being the indicator - since very rarely do people question whether she's transgender or not. The people who kick her don't want her on their team because they don't take female gamers seriously.

I believe she's saying this because she's noticed this transition whilst playing CSGO as her voice has changed.

Exactly. It’s not very becoming of you to twist that around to basically saying it’s her own fault because you immediately assume she … talks too much?

I woke up in a fit earlier in the week because I haven't played Donkey Kong Country for some time. I own a 3DS, more or less explicitly for the purpose of playing Virtual Console releases, but for mysterious and poorly considered reasons there are not any SNES games available on the 3DS.
So I decided to buy all three Donkey Kong Land games instead. The Future Shop of Donkey Kong games. I went to the drug store, farted, and found that the only available Eshop cards were in values of 50$, and the clerk didn't understand what I was talking about, so I went all in.
Having spent 50$ on something I didn't truly want, I decided Donkey Kong Land would be a poor investment indeed and then I bought Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate. And Donkey Kong Land 1.

I've always found the really daunting thing about Monster Hunting is the fair amount of resource farming that getting started requires in each game. This time around the basic item farming is streamlined and the initial tutorial levels stack you up with a goodly amount of item stock. Unfortunately disabling tutorial messages nonetheless leaves you with intrusive, game-pausing messages to pop up on your first several missions.
The game runs very well, with no input lag or graphical glitching. Lacking a second stick on my model of 3DS the camera is controlled with a hotkey on the Touch screen oriented roughly where the Right Joystick would be on every other system. This works well in conjunction with a lock-on hotkey that toggles whether your camera homes in on the direction your quarry is in, or just centers your vision.
Combating monsters is now much more mobile and dynamic, areas contain climbable surfaces and unstable ground encouraging a variety of leaping attacks and maneuvers that can swing a fight into your favour.
Online features are 2 clicks away anywhere in the hub world and going online, choosing a room and joining a mission takes less than a minute.
I'd say if you possess a 3DS and you're interested in Monster Hunter 4U it's a good purchase. The game is just as free as previous releases and compacts just enough information to point you in the right direction, but let you decide where to go.

I haven't really played Donkey Kong Land past the second level.

I gave up on Monster Hunter 3U a while back. I liked a lot of aspects of it, but it just took too much time to get any of the stuff I wanted. I dunno. The fights were also pretty dull, and despite the satisfaction I got from taking down the monsters, killing them over and over to get the armour/weapons I want was way too time-consuming and repetitive. I just got bored and tired quickly of the few environments I was given. The game started to feel like work, or rather an empty MMO. Which isn't exactly... fun.

I am interested in the newer one, though. Does seem like a good game to play online with a party, and the bug weapon or whatever looks really fun. But for now I'm too focused on Fallout: New Vegas for any other games. Yeah I'm late to the party, but holy shit. Maybe the best RPG I've ever played.

EVP you misunderstood my by a very large amount.

:
Two things wrong with that:
1. Getting kicked off your team and replaced with a BOT of average or so skill, requires majority team vote.
Right, and because many people play in groups of 3 or 4 of their friends that happens a lot.

:
2. Being transgender is irrelevant because your team would not know about it.
This was the point I was trying to make. The only reason I brought it up here is I wasn't wanting someone to come up and say "It's because your voice doesn't sound right."

:
The fact that they never had an issue with it, means you brought it to their attention,
Nope. The transgender thing never even came up. I didn't bring it up. They never asked. The whole point I brought it up here in this thread was to try to make clear the transgender part was not even part of the issue. What happened was, they didn't like having a woman on their team, for whatever reason.

Apparently you don't believe me about the getting kicked for that reason because... denial? Regardless, I was kicked off teams with them saying things along the lines of "we don't want girls on our team."

On a different note; I've been trying to play a lot of Cities: Skylines. This game is amazing. No, fantastic. Hmm... naw, near perfection. I love city builders, pretty much all of them. This is like the keystone in all city builders, somehow taking concepts years and years old and implementing them in new creative, but still sensible, ways.

First off is the new zoning system. It used to be that you placed roads near/by zones. It was way too easy this way though to end up with clogged streets later on, or unused land. This new system has you place zones off of the roads. Granted, this system was first made by Simcity 5, but that game was ass so it doesn't count. This makes it so none of the zones are unusable.

Then there's the roads themselves. Used to be all roads were angular, either 90* or 45*, now they do pretty much any curve, and can even be risen up to go over others. The grid based system is still available, however.

Another amazing thing is each individual cim is entirely separately simulated, so you can click on one and follow it's entire day.

The modding community is really strong as well which is always a plus.

Not denial, just disbelief. Although I understand your experiences would be different than mine, so I appreciate the clarification you gave. I'm disappointed the community contains people of that nature.

Is that on steam? I think I saw an ad for it.

I find the games interesting but I'm over developing 21st century cities. I want to build something like New York City from the 5th Element, or a futuristic city from Mass Effect, complete with drones, skyways and flying vehicles etc.

Decided to give Dark Souls 2 another try. Having more fun as a cleric, at least so far, but the world still feels pretty dull in comparison to the first game.

EDIT/Update: Nope fuck this game I'm done, enemy placement is bullshit and nothing feels satisfying or worthwhile. Trade in fodder.

Yes I'm bitter.

Been loving the hell out of Aaru's Awakening on PS4. Beautiful 2D puzzle platformer. Great animation and is really challenging. If its not super hard at the end Im almost certainly gonna have a go at speedrunning it. Its built for it: in game timers and leaderboards as well as almost instant resets.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hY4Bxydv2yc

Edit: FUCK. really challenging was an understatement. It gets fucking creative for a game with 4 buttons.
This game has me tearing my hair out at times.

Cant wait to go back for more!

Oh yeah, Forgot to mention the other game I've played is Bayonetta for Wii U.

That game is bonkers in every sense of the word. I frigging love it. I was literally gobsmacked at the opening cutscene.

With a pile of work on the horizon, and a rare opportunity to use my free time to do little of value, I've been powering through the Shenmue games on the old Dreamcast (currently on 2, which is the more interesting, albeit somehow less endearing, one). Those are weird games. When I play them, I feel like I should be bored by everything about them, but I find them curiously fun and intriguing. Especially when the lead character gets part-time jobs. Thing is, they're both about 4 discs long, so I do sometimes look at the boxes and think "why the fuck am I doing this instead of more work?" I justify it by calling it leisure time.

Started Daggerfall, because I was craving something with a huge world that had the oldschool vibe of being hideously imbalanced, overly complex and just a butt load of fun.

It's pretty hardcore. The controls are weird - not being able to turn while moving makes everything feel hectic. In the first dungeon I kept ending up a similar situation - "Is there a grizzly bear/imp chasing me? If I stop to turn and look I won't have time to get away without fighting it, so I'll just keep running and never really be sure." I expect this will only get worse as I go on.

Character creation is sweet. I love that you can give yourself phobias, critical weaknesses, strengths and other optional traits that really add to the sense of who your character is. The game has the balls to shut doors in your face, sometimes without telling you, but in doing so gives you a lot of freedom. When you first arrive in the city of Daggerfall and have to scout out everything by asking for directions you really get a sense of how fantastically huge the world is.

Now for a story documenting my first moments outside of the first dungeon:

I fast traveled to Daggerfall, arriving at dusk. I walked in with no idea what to expect, and just fucked around talking to people for a while. Eventually it turned to night so, confused and lost, I attempted to rest on the street until morning. Apparently this is illegal, and before I knew it I had some knights up in my grill for being a vagrant. I was arrested and threatened with jail time. I plead guilty, so they let me off with a slap on the wrist and just dumped me outside the gates. It was still a horrible, monster-filled night. I promptly died.

Attempt 2 saw me loitering a bit longer before traveling, so when arrived at Daggerfall it was night and the gates were closed. I retreated safely, and attempted to set up camp. Apparently I was too close to the city, and I was informed I couldn't rest. I continued to back away, but next thing I'd been arrested by some knights for vagrancy. Again. The sentence was 6 days, and rather than being dumped out in the night again I plead not-guilty, hoping to actually be punished this time and let out in the morning later that week. Somehow with my street-smarts I managed to talk my way out of a sentence, and ended up back in the wilderness where an undead archer one-shot me.

Third time's the charm, and I finally found my way to an inn and hired a room. I slept for 8 hours, and headed out into the town, only to find it still night. I was chased by a wraith for a short while before finding my way back to the inn, however the wraith was aggro'd now and I couldn't sleep. I left the game idling for about 30 minutes, and when I came back it was safe to venture outside again.

New games just don't have this same kind of shit happen in them. It favors a save+load style of gameplay, which kind of sucks, but at the same time it's just so interesting.

No idea if I'll actually finish this mother though.

I'm probably not touching Daggerfall till the engine reimplemenation gets finished.

I also need to complete Might & Magic 8. I just finished MM7 a few days ago.

The completion screen is a bit spoilery, though
