Abe's oddysee/exodus in-game backgrounds.

I was wondering if there is a program, or if anyone here is capable of retrieving all of the in-game background images in their original resolution.

You poor sod! The correct spelling of Exodus is infact exodus, however the Oddworld series' game is called Abe's Exoddus (a play on words of sorts, placing the word ODD within the game's title, same with Oddysee)

However to stay on topic, as stated above if you search the forums you will find such instances of people taking backgrounds from gameplay. However, if you use Paul's level editor (you can find a download link in the Mods & Hacks section of the forum) You can open up and level and extract the backgrounds from levels and export them to your PC as bmp images.

Because Exodus is the correct spelling of the word; OWI added an extra d to incorporate "odd" into the spelling. That is why so many people get it wrong - or rather right.

There's another way, by using Paul's decoder, you can extract the cams (I'm sure). It's by far more efficient because the editor way is extremely tedious if you're wanting to extract any more than four or five. It tends to extract the wrong screens a lot. You can find it on his website...
