You may call it a made up word, but it is much the same as "quadrilogy", which is used for a number of different compilations, by taking the Latin prefix instead of the more common English one. Tetralogy being the more correct term, but sounding far less graceful, if you ask me. Although grammatically speaking they are made-up words, they are, in a sense, technically accurate.
Apart from all the literacy mumbo-jumbo, I personally believe quadrilogy sounds far better than pentalogy. Also, it may just be me, but it comes off as sounding like "Odd-ology". Quintology; Oddology. Probably just be me.
