It doesn't "eat stuff" but it can download unwanted* adware and spyware etc. And the infected computers can be used for big denial-of-service attacks, where they can "command" every infected computer to connect to a website and overload it's servers.

*I guess this is kind of a given - who WANTS adware and spyware?

lollllllllllllll he is blatantly 12 and knows nothing about what he's talking about. it's a fucking worm that infects external storages devices when they're plugged into an infected computer. if you do that you'll just have a computer and an external hard drive with the same problem.

I thought he was 15... anyway, I don't see how it's funny he doesn't know about viruses. Just because you do doesn't mean that he should know what you're talking about, he's trying to help dammit.

And sorry if I'm pissed because on another forum there's a couple of dickheads (both of which I used to like) who take every opportunity to insult this twelve-year-old. Course, I don't know if he's really twelve, but if he is it's just cruel the stuff they say, for example:

Get Webroot Antivirus with Antispyware or Avira Premium and scan your PC or another good antivirus... otherwise you could keep it in your PC and don't give a shit about it.

The shit has made it's way onto my computer again TT_TT I'm going to try some of the things you guys suggested and see the technician again. I found out it's coming from the school computers, which is not good because until he removes it from the school system I refuse to use my memorystick...which means no finished coursework from me =B

Some of my friends have been infected too. Now I see how this was so highly infectious the other year xD

Use the school system but scan your memorystick the moment you plug it in to your computer.

And find out what software the technician used to fix your computer.

if it is the conficker worm, nod32 will fix it upon plugging an infected USB device into a computer with it installed one. install it on all the school computers.
