firstly, i would like to apologise for my previous post. i do not retract any of the things i said, but i apologise for being so blunt. like others, i needed to let off steam...
BD: i said that the US has been funding terrorist activities because it has. i didn't say it started the feuding between the Israelis and the Palestinians, because they didn't, but you can't deny that the US has been giving the Israelis weapons and money ever since the feuding was rekindled half a century ago...
Joe: you say that 'bush is a crappy president' is a one-sided argument you've been hearing here? have you not been listening? everyone's been saying how they think he's doing a pretty good job... and about your comment about Bush having a choice between pissing off the Afghans or pissing off his own people: if it was a choice between killing people far away to please those close to me or not killing anyone and pissing off those close to me, i would choose the latter...

i am NOT saying that Bin Laden is a good man, nor am i saying that i support the Taliban regime. Bin Laden is a Fascist, and the Taliban is a Totalitarian regime of the sort that would be more suited to the 14th century than the 21st. but i am saying that the US can hardly claim the moral high ground here, and it is sad to say that here, like in so many issues, there are no good guys...
