Really odd and really off-topic question.

I didn't know anywhere else to really ask this question and the web sources just aren't helpful. I was considering dating this girl...she's nice and pretty good looking, but I think she may have ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder)...next part's going to sound really mean...is possible to contract ADD from girlfriend?

PS - If it isn't possible then how come in songs (crappy songs - like Eminem's) he says something like "that b*tch gave me ADD." Is this possible to get it through...er...intercourse...

eh... this is a strange question.

But, I really don't think you can catch ADD from someone. It isn't really a bacterial sickness, right? I think I'm right, lets see what other people say.

ill answer. My little bro has ADD and no you can't contract it from someone else bye ANY means. It is not caused by a virus or anything of that nature. I think it is genetic, not sure of that though. but I know for SURE that you can't contract it off someone else.

dakkan, what is wrong with you? so he asked a silly question, that doesn't make him a moron! i know you'll probably come back and tell me to cool it, and that you were only a joke, but i have to say that i for one didn't find it funny! he asked a serious question that was worrying him, and i applaud him for having the guts to ask what he obviously knew was a bit of a silly question!

Man, everybody has ADD these days. If you are a rather active person and a bit lazy they say you have ADD. I'm not saying it doesn't exist, but it's becoming a fashion.

As I'm a gym-teacher I meat lot's off young children. I must admit that some children do have problems to concentrate, and that they are a little bit over-active, but is this really that mucht off a problem? If these are the symptoms I must have it myself, and I made it through my studies.

The biggest problems is that kids often don't have discipline or respect (also parents fault).

So what I say is: the chance you REALLY have ADD is really small, and if you have it then don't complain but try to live with it so your life and other peoples lives can go on without to big problems.

PS; ADD is a disfunction somewhere in the brain, yes, it's something genetic so you can't catch it from someone else
