One of the reasons I joined OWF was so I could put some of my pictures up here. I hope you like them.
The first is a picture of a Creetle, a species I made up. Like so many other species, Creetles were hunted to extinction by the Magog Cartle. Though they are officialy extinct, there have been rumors that small groups of them still live in the mountains, hiding away from the Sligs sent to hunt them. Although they look stiff-legged, Creetles are extremely agile and can climb almost sheer rock-faces, making life in the mountains easy. Their multiple mandibles and sharp teeth grab prey in a deadly grip that is imposible to escape. They are even more deadly than Scrabs, though anyone who dares to study these creatures will find that they are very social and extremely inteligent.
The second is a poster I made for 'Creetle Crunchies', Oddworld's favorite breakfast. The nugets are made from the exoskeletons of Creetles, filled with a jelly-like substance made from the ground-up flesh of Creetles. And if you are wondering what that blue liquid is, well it's Creetle blood mixed with a 'secret ingredient' to form a yummy syrup. I used the posters for 'Scrab Cakes', 'Paramite Pies' and 'Meech Munchies' for referance when making this.
The third is a Flying Scrab, again a creature I made up. Just like their cousins, Flying Scrabs are extremely vicous. Most live in the mountains but some migrated centuries ago to live on the vast plains of Mudos. They are often found in family groups, but sometimes a male may turn into a rouge and become solitary. They can be made into 'Scrab Cakes' like their cousins and their wing membranes can be turned into Glukkons' clothing. However they are rarely hunted (they hardly ever land, and they are difficult to shoot when flying), which makes them more numerous than regular Scrabs.
I ran out of space on the paper, so I had to cut the wings off half-way.
And the last is a picture of an Intern playing a Nintendo DS and listening to an iPod.
