Fangus animation

Quite by chance, I stumbled across some videos showing character animations put together for The Brutal Ballad of Fangus Klot. Apparently, this animation was outsourced to a different company: Alcazar Entertainment, who produced over 100 animations.

Apparently the generic enemies of Fangus were called Vamps. They look very similar to some character concepts we’ve seen before, but don’t stike me as being particularly cat‐like.

These animations are very good, however, i'm glad they didn't make Fangus. It looks a brilliant game but it doesn't seem very Oddworld. I mean, Fangus looks like he could be human? It looks alot more like Halo (Which don't get me wrong, I think it's a brilliant game) But Oddworld to me, should be Oddworld. Weird creatures that don't look human, playing as the guys of nature who "Never liked guns."

If that can make you feel better, The Brutal Ballad of Fangus Klot wasn't supposed to be set on Oddworld, but in a totally different world.

That Vamp looks like a Combine soilder from Half Life 2...

I always loved the name for this game... just a shame it was never made.

Yes. Both Alcazar Entertainment and Kyle Winkelman explicitly identify them as such. They’re not Fangus Klot himself. They’re enemy characters from the game.

Awesome! These look neat. But I agree with most people, he does look a little human.

and I don't think he looks like a Combine Soldier... he just look like as a Soldier

I think the vamps look like a crossbreed of a trandosian from starwars (the head) and a strogg from quake (The stuff on his back and the walking-anim).

I don't care much about what this is. As long as it has something to do with OWI, it's cool.
