Not immediately. A lot of the food grown for farmed species is not fit for human consumption. Or else inaccessible, in the case of wild commercial species.

I am an animal lover. Doesn't mean I don't like a good steak. Cows are bred for the sole purpose of providing us food, milk, leather and bones. And as long as they don't become an endangered species, I'm perfectly fine with that.

And BTW, why did I not know Max was a vegan or am I missing something completely?

Maybe, but honestly, if someone came up to you and said "Please kill me now, if you don't, all I will do is spend 10 years in perpetual agony, unable to move or see or anything before dying" how could you not kill them, knowing that all that would happen to them afterwards is nothing but suffering and then dying anyway?

Aside from that, I'm sure there are plenty more examples than terrorists. Maybe that wasn't the best example :P
