No, I wouldn’t. Capital punishment accomplishes very little, and usually leads to much worse consequences, particularly when you make the person into a martyr for an already violent cause.

Only if that person were you, and even then you know the real reason would be for your ignoring the subjunctive mood, heading a determiner phrase with the subjective instead of the possessive form of a pronoun, and using ‘vegan’ as a noun, all in a sentence which is, if I may coin the phrase, a triple conditional.
