Jews are actually quite tight though. I think at some point they just absorbed the stereotype cos they realised it's good to be noticed and to have money.

Oh, I never knew that (obviously), but as for the tight thing, I also agree that Jews tend to be tight, or maybe it is through their reputation that people picked this up, I mean, they give to charaties, but maybe they are seen to be more tight on an indervidual basas.
Maybe a few jews just stand out, and I know their are exceptions.
Actually, the stereotype is quite unfair, as there are alot of stingy non Jewish people, but owell.

This reminds me of a friend in high school who asked me one day "Look, I'm not talking about you, but why are Jews so stingy? Not you, of course, but every other Jew I know is so tight with money!"

I asked him how many other Jews he knew. The answer was one.

The fact is that everyone on the planet is tight to some degree. You just only notice it when the person is Jewish. And in answer to your question MF, I would say 'Hundreds'.

I've probably known more Jews than I think, but the one I am most familiar with was by no means stingy.

He was a kindly gent who always had a helping hand to lend.
I never knew of him as stingy, it's a tired stereotype and I don't think it's funny at all.

Actually, sadly the jews, or the ones who go by the Jewish ways, who aren't just half jewish or jewish by blood, that I know seem to be stingy, but I don't know many.
Ok, it's a stereotype, I know there are alot of generous ones, sorry if I offended anyone.
Look, what I'm trying to say, is what you have said, it's because of the stereotype we notice the stignyness, and I too am tiered of the stereotype, but I'm also tiered of the english, australian, schoolboy, my type of person, macas employee, redhead (Even though my hair isn't red), school kids in general, Girls, aboriginals, african americans, asians, africans, etc.
But the thing is we use stereotypes because they're an easy way of recognising people, etc. actually they're are a lesser degree of prejudice.
Anyway, by saying you leave forever, it means you can't die which was the punnishment for sin, which Jesus took, and it is meant by a spiritual death, that means either hell or not going to heaven or anywhere I guess, and through forgiveness, we can go to heaven and spiritually live on forever.
So technically through Jesus you will live on forever.

Sorry, but as most teenagers of my genration, I make typos, and type so quickly naturally, that I don't look at the keys I type, and I'm used to not spelling on msn and in text messages, and possible, probably not, I'm under the influence of some sort of drug or drunk when I'm typing here.
But I'll edit my previous post and try harder.

I honestly don't believe that to be the case. For the most part, such humour is based on the forbidden - which is certainly my angle. Sure, some use it as a joke cos they think it's true and funny. It's up to you to get what the person's intentions are. Or you could just point and shout racist every time, that does sound more fun.

Then you get situations like I mentioned before, or the time that a friend was asked whether the skullcap was there to hide his horns.

In regard to the effect the things I say, anything I say, has on those who are incapable to grasp what I'm talking about – it is a rather minor thing to mention. Am I supposed to censor myself in case I'm in earshot of an impressionable youngster, for instance? Seems more than a little silly. Besides, I only talk like that to people who share that humour and get it, I don't walk up to random grannies or toddlers and say 'Jew-pigs, eh?' and see a dawning realisation behind their eyes.

It just seems you're being sensitive, which is fine and acceptable, as long as you're aware you are being so. I used to be uber-sensitive if friends used gay=bad or fag, for which there used to be zero tolerance! Now it doesn't particularly bother me, and I do have every right to bothered just as you do. But I wouldn’t presume to call those people 'unpleasant', just insensitive to my own personal feelings on whatever matter.

Anyway, I'd feel slightly awkward and nervous, cos there are plenty of Jews around, but I'd quite happily tell them the gist of what I was saying above. Doubt they'd be particularly interested or humbled or offended.

Nate, I don't say you're a Jew and things in front of a jew, or adults for that matter, just mates.
But I guess you're right with the nigger thing, it's like how I guy who deserves to die called some guy a nigger, and got beaten up (Yes, he was black), then had a cry, and was like, in South Africa we do that, personally I wanted to kill him, but still do for many more reasons.
I understand, but it's like saying, you women! or you pheasant!
Then there's the fact that girls get called all saughts of things including sluts for their sexual life, yet a guy isn't seen to be a guy, or a plain looser if he doesn't have sex constantly.
I could go on with the treatment of aboriginies, and the fact that there are no official women military combat officers (meaning they shoot and kill people or at least try) in the Australian military, and never has been.
I know it's a cruel world, but the fact is that Jews use the word nigger, and they were very much involved in the discrimination of the black people of america, yet still complain with their own critisim, I'm not calling them hippocrites, everyone does it, and that doesn't make it right either.
Unfortunatly it's a dog eat dog world, so there are asians in my year calling others stupid gooks, Kiwis bagging out poms, Muslims bagging out Jews, and Christians bagging out everyone too.
Nate, I have nothing against Jews, or any group minus extremists, just certain inviduals (and they're not Jewish)

Anyway, discrimination happens subconciouly and conciously, everywhere, if you saw a heavily dressed muslim with a turban, who looked suspicious, enter your train, would you get off? Plenty of people do.
Some infact shoot them, noting the incident in England.
It isn't right, but it's not going to stop anytime soon i'd say.
