Sydman, Abe Babe I forward this complaint ashamed. With all the flaming going on about religion in a certain topic I recommend this solution to the great religious flame wars 1: It is illegal to discuss matters of religious significance without quoting written and published sources,if you mention them. This is so that when someone speaks he simply does not go. "Your so closeminded, I think, blah,blah,blah." This also gives one a chance to read the particular piece of literature in Question. 2: It is mandatory that one does not insult and respect for all people will be shown. This does not mean you must all of a sudden change your views.
I hope that this will stop all fanatical ravings and religious flamings and ask the administrators to strongly consider making this an Oddworld Forums Law.

i have to agree [albeit in more polite terms] with what daniel said: this discussion is interesting. if all we can do is quote from sources, how are we supposed to get our own opinions [which are the only interesting things said] across? i agree that we shouldn't make it personal, but i think that most of us are mature enough to keep it clean ourselves without rules. those of us who can't are always chastised for what they've done anyway. chill out, statikk!

On a more relevant note, I simply meant that if one has a beef he should quote his sources not simply say " I heard, Blah, blah, Blah." By the way, flaming is ok, but not when it takes over the topic and turns a discussion into a series of insults. statikk, there is no need to get worked up, i was just saying that if all we had was sources, then our own opinions wouldn't get across. people don't need sources to tell others their own opinions. sources can only tell what other people think, which is NOT what we were arguing about in the 'kittens' topic.
