Theme Park World

On my eighth or ninth birthday their was one present i really wanted to open, i had waited patiently and was eager to play it. It was of course Theme Park World.
Since the game was annouced i had wanted it and played the original Theme Park up until the day i got it. When the day arrived i awoke with one thing in my mind.............Theme Park World.
I ran down stairs to my parents who gave me my presents and i ripped the paper of as if leeches were stuck to the back of my neck, behold it was their in the palm of my hands.
The big box pc games used to come stays vividly in my mind to this day and i remember the first time i made a park with a monkey that swung bannanas over its shoulders, and aztec themed roller coasters.
That day my dream had come true and Theme Park World was mine and ive kept it ever since.
Which makes me wonder if any of you still play on it and does it actually work on XP.
The last time i played it was two years ago when my windows 98 run computer got washed away in the floods of carlisle, for the past years it has stayed in my loft and i have now declared to get it down and start playing it again.

But like i said before do any of you know if it works on XP and can you still play the game online?

Also has their ever been a game like this were you've just wanted it so desperatly?

I think it does work on XP. I remember playing it a year or two ago when I already had an XP machine. And if not, there's always a way to get it working somehow.

It's a good game at the start, but lacks motivation to play after you unlock the third world. At least thats my experience.

Theme Hospital was better.
Dungeon Keeper was even better than that.

It's such a shame EA ate Bullfrog and wouldn't let them continue making their always creative games.

Yea well, thats EA for ya .

Theme Hospital is still one of my favorite games among the classics, next to C&C games and stuff.

Theme Park World got boring quickly. The music was hypnotic and lulling. And they turned that cool advisor into a Scottish punctuation mark. Huh? Not so much annoying as trippy. The lack of realism disappointed me, which is why I go back to Rollercoaster Tycoon time after time.

Theme Hospital did indeed rock, and that's another game I keep going back to.

Bloaty Head!

Bloaty head is awsome! No wait, the remedy is awsome XD *pop*.

But indeed, the emphesis on the 'theme's' (absolutely EVERYTHING in theme) made the game kinda boring as it lacked reality a bit. And like Max said the music was anoying and in case of the first world where the entrance gate existed of two tesla coils... those made THE most horrible sound. I always stayed away as far as I could from the entrance on that map.
