yep the skinny bald reincarnate of Bhudda himself is coming within less than 170 miles from where I live, the chances of me seeing him myself without him being on TV isn't because I'm Jewish, but because it takes too long to get there. Sun Valley Idaho. yep, pretty cool, I was there last Saturday because I was in a Parade, oh and that's also where Arnold Schwartznegger's home away from home is.

I don't see how someone can be reincarnated. It seems pretty silly. Also, can nobody spell Buddhist or Buddha? It's pretty simple. Anyway, I don't believe a word he says about helping the Tibetan region. If he was so committed to helping Tibetans like himself, why does he hide out in a mansion in Eastern India? Kind of defeats the immaterial cause of Buddhism. Anyway, he's hardly a religions figure any more, he's a politician.

the reason for his coming is some Buddist (there, soulstice, whatever) guy is spending like all his money for him to come over so we can have a time of "peace and prosperity"
and he hopes it'll be a step closer to world peace, which will never happen.

What is the world coming to? A man known for his abstinance and rejection of material possessions, going to America, of all places. I wonder if he'll eat a burger and some fries or watch some baseball while he's over there?

Because we all know how drastically more materialistic America is than the rest of the world. And at that, I like burgers. Baseball too, assuming I'm actually at the game, as baseball on TV is horribly dull. Sort of like hockey. Except hockey pwns baseball x 10.

Well, it's exactly the same here. It's just not stereotyped like America is. Of course I eat burgers, value material possesions and I'm not against a bit of sport every now and then. Just as much as I like drinking tea or playing 'soccer'.

That's what I was thinking, he probably watches 'the buddhist channel' on his 52" plasma screen, tuned into the Tibetan satellite network. Maybe not, but it's certainly contradicting the religion he follows to live in a luxury mansion and eat 5 course meals, when he should be living in a monastery and eating tree-bark.

The Tibetan Satellite Network has some damn good programming, I must say. You should really check out their knocks offs of various reality shows; the stakes on "Who Wants to be a Millionaire?" are drastically lower, with the show being redubbed "Who Wants to Win a Dollar?" Except the only time a peasant actually won the $1.00 question, a firing squad came on stage and shot him. Posed a threat to the wealthy landlords of the area, or something like that. Who would've thunk it?

After a little more thinking, his coming to America does make sense. I mean, if you want to make the world a better place by spreading words of love, peace, etc., you should go to places where such words are needed most.

As for him going to spread the word of peace and stuff in America, isn't that kinda silly? He has good intentions, but I can see it having very little or no impact at all.
