Rhigt this mite be out of the blue but i had a fort wot is that on there face fingers? some kind of mouth? or just some green spagety stuck to there face lol. >.<

I guess we realy don't know untill we see a slig without a mask sometime. It's just something thats there with them. Might be originaly there to help move around and grab things, as sligs originaly don't have pants on them and thus don't have hind legs.
I do say tho, of all the mistery's around oddworld, a sligs face is probably the most wel kept secret of all :P.

lol well i wouldent says its the most well kept seceret but it is a mistory :S and i do agree with ur point theme useing there (???) to swing around :P

A commmon theory of old is that the tentacles are used as a third hand by Sligs to swing around in trees, as many people used to think they are tree-dwellers by nature. I think that is quite likely, as their anatomy would link with that. They use their tentacles to produce a variety of different sounds, but I imagine if they were tree dewellers they would use their tail and tentacles to aid with mobility and speed. Their mouths are located under the tentacles as far as I can tell, the tentacles merely aid in making different sounds (they speak through them while they position them in different ways to make different noises, kinda like playing a flute or saxophone). I know this old theory through reading the archives long ago about Sligs.

Lol, they look a lot less dangrous without that mask on :P. Almost as inocent as a slurg XD.

Apart from the fact that Slurgs often mean Fleeches, I kinda think that makes them a whole lot less innocent.

Sligs have mouths. Those tentacle things are only there to add sound to vocals... or anything they want to say. I assume they have larynxes, but just as we have lips... yea.

If you look carefully, you'll see this one has a, it looks like a lower jaw.

And yea, sligs do kind of sound like someone thats talking trough one of those voice boxes. Especialy the news reporter.

I can say this: I liked it when it's tentacles were over it's mouth, and it's eyes are kinda cute.

The mouth under the tentacles was what I mentioned earlier, as I said, it was an old theory and it seems it was right. Their eyes do look quite cute, yet they are often said to be ugly without their masks in fics and the like. Poor sligs. I take it that when we hear the Sligs talk with masks on,that the little grate on their masks (look closely at the Slig profile picture in the AO manual) is maybe a microphone type thing for them to speak through.
