PhotoShop, or PaintshopPro?

Some of you guys should know, which is better?
(and technically this IS fan art related as I'll be using whichever one I get for some fan art)

Photoshop, hands down. Paintshop Pro doesn't have nearly as many tools and features (at least it didn't when I last tried it). Photoshop is also the leading digital graphics software in world (as far as I know).

Well, i feel it's really up to the user. You can create just the same effects in Jasc Paint Shop Pro as you can in Adobe Photo Shop (for the most of it), I guarentee you. It's just how you do it is different.

One thing I feel with Paint Shop Pro is that it's more userfriendly, and easier to get to grips with. Another is that it costs less, a lot less. (should that be a concern for you).

Then again, everybody loves Photoshop. It's pretty much what everyone uses, and it's probably easier to get the effect you want if you understand all the options. Plus it has more applications that it can be used in conjunction with.

Like i said i feel it's really up to the user, they both act very differently, but essentially do the same thing.

Nah, I'd say photoshop is more user-friendly... Dunno though. Paintshop cant do as much as Photoshop, and oftenly I find many things in Paintshop that are useless. You know, small funny stuff, that you only use once, cos you cant really use it for anything.
Photoshop is also more professional, and you can do almost evrything with it...

Yay for Photoshop =)

In my own opinion, Paint Shop Pro is the retarded brother of Photoshop.

Paint Shop's not that bad. Lets see...Paint Shop Pro 9 costs... £79.96 (£16.99 if you get version 8)... and Photoshop C2 costs... £510.59... hmm dunno shall I pay £500 for something that can do the same thing for £20? Hell yeah, because everyone says so! /sarcasm/

Uh, it actually depends.... If you wanna use Paint Shop or Photoshop for something profesionel, choose Photoshop. If not, then choose Paint shop... It would be a pity if you wasted money on such a big program, if yer not really gonna use it for anything speciel...
But in my opinion, Photoshop IS more powerful then PaintShop...

Hmm...
I was gonna use it for personal stuff.
My own cartoons and designs. Mostly for my conceptual designs for a project me and my friend are working on, and for a website a group of us are doing.
I'm doing cartoons.

Reckon its worth buying PhotoShop for that?

Dude, haven't you ever heard of piracy?

Photoshop, hands down. I mean, it just seems less idiotic.
