Okay this topic was *interesting*TBB. Anyways, while I think marijuana does spark the philosophical thinking in a huge way, most of the time they are completely retarded. My friend who smokes tells me about his epiphanies, and sometimes he'll think he found the answer to everything and he'll tell me that everything and everyone is a circle, revolves in a circle, and is made up of circles. I was like WTF! The scary thing is some people believe the *philosphy* they have while they are high even after the effects wear off. Some good things do come out of it though I guess, like we have more freedoms because of what the hippies did in the 60's. I guess this topic could be taken as a flame toward you Sulleytheraptor, but its really not and I think that what you said was intresting and wasn't retarded at all.

i wouldn't give marijuana that much credit.
and the revelations people have while they are high are ludicrous.
i would give more credit to the free-thinkers during the tenure of Timothy Leary who used LSD.
people who get high and try to wax philosophical are not much fun. for a few reasons. most of the time, they don't know what they're saying.
now, if you had two people who actually study philosophy and they both read
Thus Spake Zarathustra and then went on about it, that could be interesting.
i had a discussion where someone tried to use the Nietzschian 'God is dead' metaphor in a physical sense. that's what i mean.
peoples' behaviors while they are high don't change just because their high. the quality of any given conversation is directly proportional to their intelligence.
marijuana doesn't turn morons into savants.
