Another Tim Burton Movie?(Not Charlie and the Chocolate Factory)

Tim Burton has made a new film, The Corpse bride. Has anybody heard of it?

Yes indeed. Loosely based on an old Russian folk tale, I hear tell. Russian? Yeah Russian. I didn't bother to check out the link. I'm assuming I'll hear more about it when its release is imminent.

It sounds interesting, if a bit contrived. I hope it's only very loosely based on the folk tale, otherwise it won't have much of a plot. Anyway I'm a Burton fan forever so I'm sure I'll see it when the time comes.

Yah, I knew about that...Tim Burton doesn't often disapoint, and Nightmare was awesome, so things are looking good.

Not I. I questioned the quality of his next film just then. Did you not hear me? But even if he's not a genius, like Neph says, he doesn't often disappoint.

Wes Anderson is way better though.

It just isn't very questioning when you then go on to basically say that you'll see his movie whatever you think.

Well, it's like this. I'll see almost any movie. Seriously. I'm not picky about what I see. Now whether I come out of the theatre going "Wow that was a great movie!" or "Wow that was the worst movie ever!" depends on whether the movie is, in fact, good, or not.

Actually, I haven't seen a lot of Burton films. But, out of the ones I have seen, he's pretty good. I mean, who doesn't like Big Fish?

Nobody. Nobody doesn't like Big Fish.

Edward Scissorhands is, in my mind, another of his greatest movies. If you haven't seen it, I recommend it. In fact, it's one of the best movies ever. I order you to see it.

I love Tim's movies, and I used to love Nightmare even more than I do now.
But the love for Nightmare died a little when places like Hot Topic raped it in as many ways as they could. And that Hot TOpic rape unleased hoards of fans who had never seen the movie (most of them on DeviantART) and had some sort of Jack fetish.

You see, I like the movie for its dark elements as well, but it was also a Christmas movie, and a damn good one at that. This is just another example of how commercialism kills or streatches something too far.

I only hope that this movie survives the hype. But with Hot Topic liking everything dark (I like dark too, just not Hot Topic) and Jonny Depp in it, you know we'll get so many types of merchandise to the main character fangirl rape fairly soon after the movie's theater release.

I don't think I've ever seen a Tim Burton film that I haven't liked. Sure, he's an asshole... but a highly talented one! His movies are wonderful and his poetry is funny and cute in a spooky way.

I've been planning to see this since I first heard about it.

What? Can you not read well? I said I haven't seen a film that I haven't liked by Burton. In other words, I've liked all that I have seen.

Anywho, here's a link with the original folk tale.

Heh. Yeah. Like I said, a little bit contrived and plotless if he decides to go strictly by the original folk tale.

I agree with that. Why does Hot Topic do that with a lot of the stuff I like?

old and not so tasty, did you see Big Fish? It was one of my favorite films.

Care to mention a few films by Burton that you considered to be the worst you've ever seen, not so tasty guy?

Planet of the Apes. That was like taking a beautifull rose and taking a diarrhea sh*t on it. Sleepy Hollow. Honestly, those were my big complaints. I just think that his other movies weren't very good. They don't deserve the hatred that these two do.

Oh yeah... I never watched Planet of the Apes because of how stupid I thought it looked.

I do like Sleepy Hollow though. I think it's a pretty good movie.

Heh heh.

Yeah, I think Planet of the Apes was fairly horrible. I don't share your passion for the original, though, OANST. I thought the first one was just as bad.

I don't remember Sleepy Hollow very well, but I remember liking it. Although there was that one scene where the witch lady's eyes pop out of her head (I think that's what happened), and I just cracked up at that. The computer effects were SO bad. Other than that I thought it was cool. And that part where the tree is bleeding? So awesome. Bleeding trees, eh wot? Nothing cooler in a horror movie than trees that bleed.

Yeah, the tree is one of the creepiest things I've ever seen in a movie for some reason. Christopher Walken was also creepy as hell, naturally, with his teeth of bullets.
