Does that surprise you? If he got the powers from returning alive from SCRABania and PARAMonia, it's obvious the power turns him into a scrab/paramite looking thing, right?

using that logic, when he returned from the MUDANCHEE vaults and the MUDOMO vaults, he should turn into mudanchee/mudomo type creature. hmm... i'm not too good at this logic thing...

And that would look weird too. Madunchee and Mudumo are actually mudokons. Okay so you already knew that..
