Cartoon is near completion, moving on to something bigger

Dear person(s) who takes time out of your miserable lives to read this,

As you know, I have been working toilessly on my cartoon 'The Bloody Escapades of Mr. Smiley' and I am happy to announce that it is very near to completion. Since the subject of months work has now basically ended, I decided to get a jump-start on a newer, much larger, project. A live-action film. It is a horror (of course) and the script itself is still in draft mode. I am wide open to any ideas, character suggestions, scenarios, and such. The movie itself is based around a spree of neighborhood killings caused by a pumpkin faced man. A group of neighborhood kids must collect in a posse with everyone who saw the nightmare of the pumpkin man's past. They must use the small clues left by the psychopath to find a friend he is holding hostage. Will the kid's beat the pumpkin man at his own sadistic game? Or will the pumpkin man be forced to send their friend back to them in pieces? Or will the game itself drive the small group of kids insane?

Who knows? Your ideas will decipher the outcome.

It is very popular out here. I like your idea. I never intended for my movies to have 'good' endings. But it really depends on the story itself, if I think it will play out better with a good ending, than it will have to be so. But I like bad endings, or suspensful ones.

Bad ending would the choice.Cos the ''good guys'' always win which really annoys me.I like command and conquer due to the evil storyline and baddies win.as for characters......Kids are obviosly going to be some kids called joey , mikey , sarah etc whatever and that pumkin guy reminds me of billy and mandy. You could call him pumpking

Pumpking? Sounds like something off of Yugi Oh. The kids were actually going to have less clich'e names. Namely Dennis, Brook, Weldmen, and some guy they call Wolf, who is a real punk-ass dickhead (one of those asinine characters you just want to get killed the worst way). The pumpkin faced guy is called just Pumpkin Face. His real name won't be revealed until later, but you can bet it will be something unoriginal like Jack.

Sounds good as long as it's original. I get tired of the horror movies where they do stuff like a character gets grabbed by someone but it just turns out to be another good guy. God I hate Yu-gi-oh. My freind used to play it at lunch and it embarassed me.

I don't like teen horror movies, they're unoriginal and boring.
The only good part of the movie, as it currently seems, would be the good guys searching for clues which drive them insane - but it would be hard to get right.

Can't wait for The Bloody Escapades of Mr. Smiley though.

Codek gave me some ideas that seemed to make my story a little more original. He suggested that when the killings start, many people leave but a few stay behind to guard the homes. One of the few is a scientist who is intrigued by The Pumpkin Face's twisted mind and calls upon his military friend (Who "kicks ass" as Codek so bluntly put it) as a body guard in order to get close and personal with the insane pumpkin fiend. The others including a group of teens, an elderly couple, and a couple of newly weds are left as a bait for the scientist's twisted studies and are slowly picked off one by one by the evil Pumpkin Face, the baited residents strive to stay alive but break down after they find one of their friends has been kidnapped by the pumpkin man. In an attempt to find clues left by the diabolical maniac they end up being killed and driven insane by the menace's games. Atleast I think that's what the story will be, alot of changing is involved. I'm still open to changes, suggestions, ideas, and such that you have. So submit some, damnit!

That's basically what I suggested.

The only parts you've left out are how the pumpkin face became evil and... well... pumpkin faced. And also the part where the scientist and his bodygaurd finally manage to get samples from the pumpkin face, and retreat to the home of the scientist's deceased father (which is a spooky hilltop mansion with lots of science labs).

That sounds good. I like the scientist bit, maybe they could capture the pumpkin man and ask him some questions. What kind of weapons will he use? Maybe tools used for carving Jack-o-lanterns.

He doesn't actually have a pumpkin for a head - it's just a facial deformation which occured during a nuclear reactor accident. His brain was subject to a type of gamma ray which affected certain polarised areas of his neural pathways. His grasp of right and wrong were effectively inverted - causing him to react in the worst way possible to absolutely everything.

You find this out when the scientist and his military buddy go to a pond near the reactor where they take samples of fish affected by the radiation there.

Something tells me the film will be based around the morals of using nuclear reactors for power. Depending of course, entirely on where SS wants to take it. At the end of the day it's going to be his movie.

I would say that whacky and really fun is always a safe bet when SS is in the driving seat.

Huh...I had a friend who wanted to make a horror flick. It was about some guy bringing Hitler back to life. And Hitler's minions would be those who died in the Holocost. Terrible.

That's not a bad idea actually. Have a "faux hero". (got a pretty good ring to it eh?)

Have him survive one or two killings and then get grossly fuxed...

Now the ways of killing are important...The grossest way of dying could be getting chopped to tiny little bits which you could probably eat if you wanted to.Maybe the kills could get worse and worse every killing.E.g. the first killing is strangling 2nd is slit throte 3rd is decapitate and so on.
