Favorite cartoons

What are your favorite cartoons? Here's a list of some that I like
Aqua Teen Hunger Force. Sheer genius. This is bar-none the most hilarious cartoon, if not show, on television right now. Sheer brilliance.
The Simpsons. While I'm dissapointed with the last 4 or 5 seasons this show is still quality. The first 8 seasons are classic.
Futurama. Why was this cartoon destined to be treated like a red-headed stepchild at Christmas by Fox? The first seasons are much better than the early Simpsons episodes and this show could have been a smash hit if Fox didn't try to take the piss out of it every chance they got.
Family Guy. Ditto. The show is worth watching just for Stewie's diabolical running commentary.

Well, I enjoy new episodes of SpongeBob...

I used to watch a lot of Angry Beavers, but I haven't seen that show in a loooong time.

Invader Zim is hillarious! I love it's dark twisted-ness! Though, I haven't seen much of that show either. It seemed too adult for Nickelodeon.

Also...I count South Park as a cartoon. I don't like the early episodes, because it's basically Cartman running around saying, "I'm gonna kick you in the nuts!" Blah! I like the ones dealing with social and political issues, because I like to see their take on it. Terrance and Phillip are also disgusting.

Aqua Teen Hunger Force. [Number one in the hood, G]

Aeon Flux

Happy Tree Friends

The Maxx

The Brothers Grunt

The fairly oddparents

Futurama

Family Guy

And the original Space Ghost Coast to Coast.

I like most stuff on Adult Swim. Most stuff. I really don't care for Witch Hunter Robin or Wolf's Rain, but I'll always like ATHF and SeaLab 2021. Sure, some of the episodes are lame, but they really do make up for it.

Other Shtuffs (American)
Invader Zim - My introduction to JCV's work. Still love the style, and to this day I get chuckles just thinking of the dialogue.
South Park (after the first season, before the current season) - Has it's moments. I enjoy the episodes that are more satire than shock value.
Red vs Blue - Not quite animation per se, but still chock full 'o goodness.

Other Shtuffs (Anime)
Serial Experiments Lain - To this day, possibly my favorite television show. Ever. Animated or not. So delightfully confusing... it will blow your mind and make you think twice about using the internet. It's fun to theorize about the nature of the story.
FLCL - Another one of my favorites. Bizarre and hilarious even if you don't understand the Japanese symbols. The best part of the show is that you can read as much or as little into it as you want. Many elements of the show have double meanings.
Neon Genesis Evangelion - The only mecha anime that can last for 24 episodes and still have a plot. Eva really got me interested in religious mythology. It's a wonderfully disturbing (and pseudo-sacrilegious) story filled with oodles of angst and characters you love to hate.
Boogiepop Phantom - A seemingly unrelated collection of random events involving encounters between "special" children and (a) strange being(s) called Boogiepop (Phantom). You would have to see it to understand. Sometimes disturbing. Several suicides.
Cowboy Bebop - Just a damn good show. It's blends the best of comedy, drama, and loads of action with fascinating symbolism.
Trigun - Haven't seen all the episodes, but still enjoy it. I finally saw the last episode last night... extremely touching. Yeah... that Rim (Rem?) person... she was SO Jesus.

Exactly. Couldn't have said it better myself.

Yeah...I didn't think RvB would fit in the cartoon category, but it doesn't hurt. RvB is hillarious.

I always liked Futurama until about the third season, then I thought it got stupid. But I saw the episode fromt the first series where they first meet Zap, and it was crap as well. Unless that's a bad episode then I don't know how I ever saw it that funny.

Monkey Dust!!! - Get BBC3 - watch it.
The only reason why its a cartoon is because the comedy is too black to be allowed on TV if its in real life.

I like the Simpsons and Futurama, and I liked it in Invader Zim when his eyes were burned out by the sun (the only episode I've seen).
happy Tree Friends is also very good.

Now that you mention it, Home Movies is pretty good, too. Same with Angry Beavers. Man, I watched that show all the time as a kid. I also watched a lot of Rocko's Modern Life and Ren and Stimpy at my babysitter's. What I like about Rocko and the
Angry beavers is that it gets a lot better as you grow up. So much subtle and adult humor in those two series.

Futurama - You have no idea how much I love this show. Pure genius. If I saw one of the writers on the street I would hug him. Or possibly worse.

Bean - It's cute and stuff, relaxing to watch.

Rex the Runt - Sure, it's not a cartoon, but there's no way you can not love that good ol' british humor.

Space Ghost: Coast to Coast - Hilarious. Absolutely hilarious. Need to put more seasons on DVD though.

Triplets of Belleville - I love this move just for the sheer style of it. Once you start watching it's addicting.

Fairly OddParents - Made for kids, yet one of the funniest shows I've ever seen.

(original) Ren & Stimpy - So stupid it's funny.

There is probably a lot more, but that is all I can remember for now.

Unless I misunderstood your post, someone does show it. Cartoon Network on every night except Friday and Saturday. I think. Hell, it's on at 11:30 tonight.

Cowboy Bebop. No questions asked. Kick-ass animation, face-melting soundtrack, a cute girl wearing skimpy outfits, guns, spaceships, kung-fu .... it's got everything! I would've attached the theme song to this post (for your listening pleasure), but I think it's too big.
Anyway.
The Brak Show is pretty good sometimes.
Then there's Rocko's Modern Life.
And Ren and Stimpy. Of course, I mean the original. (Oh, God, do I miss that show!)
Fairly Oddparents is pretty decent from time to time.
Yuyu Hakusho and Inuyasha are nice, when I can see them.
And I miss Invader Zim. Terribly. My heart aches.
But yeah. I'm done.

I don't really watch much in the way of cartoons, but mainly The Simpsons, and the occasional episode of Futurama or Family Guy.

I usually classify anime as not being a cartoon. I guess it comes from hanging around too many online communities where there are lots of anime fans. So I like lots of animes, but I don't get much time to watch them. So it's mainly [on DVD, as they don't show much here in Australia]:

.hack//SIGN <--- favorite anime of all time!
Evangelion
RaXpheron
Excel Saga

Oh, and if you want to see an anime that is so funny but also extremely perverted and wrong at the same time, check out Puni Puni Pomei ... I first saw it at an anime convention and the entire room was in fits of intense laughter all the way through it. It's only 2 episodes though, so an OVA.

Abe Babe...
