I think this topic has been done to death, but I can't see any similar one having been created in the immediate past, so I'll let it past. I prefer Abe's Oddysee, for many reasons. I love the darkness, I love the spirituality, I love the ambience and the story. Back then Glukkons were dark and forboding, Mudokons were completely peaceful and spiritual, and the comedy was almost totally dark humour. Above and beyond it all, it was the game I loved so much that it drew me to the Oddworld series. I'm not sure Abe's Exoddus would have done that, but it might have. I seriously doubt Munch's Oddysee would have done.
That, without going into more specific details, is why.
