What do you think should be allowed to be posted here in FC? (other then the obvious Oddworld stuff)
Now mainly I feel it should be only for Oddworld related material, but I am willing to let non-oddworld pics to slide (mainly cause I am guilty of that myself) unless of course the majority that reply say not to.

I figured I'd ask everyones opinion first before 'jumping in' and start terrorising peeps with my new mod powers (did I say terrorise? no no I meant 'assisting' yeah thats it...*sheepish grin*).

*whistles and Spider and Malice run in, both wearing bouncer suits and sunglasses*

My Drakkic friends here will be helping me with my mod duties (oh yes..I intend to have fun with this...*grins*).

Spider: Drrraaaggg...can we take these suits off? They itch...

Malice: yeah...and these sunglasses are giving me a headache...

*Ponders* Well, I think that non-Oddworld pics should be allowed *Is also guilty* because personally, I like looking at non-Oddworld art by our members. Things like "Wars/battles" I believe are not appropriate for a fan forum. There's my 2 cents.

I know I dont post pics here but I dont see why not. I think you should let people post non-ow pics here it would be cool.

Hm, yes, I'd agree with those sentiments. I think with the non-Odd pictures you have to first decide what counts as Odd and what doesn't - after all, people could just draw things and say "Oh, it's a new species". I think Non-Oddly is okay so long as it doesn't take over - after all, most of us artists have posted things not pertaining to Oddworld, but not so they take over - after all, they ARE Oddforums... *shrugs*

And the "battles" thing is just getting boring...

I thought I'd add an opinion of what I think (even though I don't visit here much and I'll trust Dragadon's judgement).

The forum was basically designed for Oddworld content. But IMO the guidelines can allow some exceptions. I see these as being:

Images: for example a topic like Dragadon's Pics or Teal's Pics may contain both Oddworld and non-Oddworld drawings. IMO this is OK. Another expection would be a non-Oddworld creature which plays part of someone's Oddworld fic (i.e. Dragadon's dragon characters that live on Oddworld in her fan fics).

What I wouldn't like to see is:

Topics solely dedicated to non-Oddworld
Too many images of non "fantasy" type characters (i.e. if you drew an image of Tom Cruise for example, it cannot be related to Oddworld, whereas someone's imaginary creature can be a possible new species).

Fanfics: One of the things I noticed a while back was stuff that was non-Oddworld. This mainly seemed to be the "battle" type topics which I get the impression people are getting bored with. Fics should at least be of an Oddworld or sci-fi/fantasy nature.

I just thought I'd add what an Administrator thinks on this kind of thing.

Hmm...that's one thing I've been thinking about lately, drag. My dilemma is that now that I have a community (that works), I could scan in some of my nicer pics and share them with all you (*notices everyone running away*). But as I can't draw Oddworld creatures well, (ok, I can draw munch well from ONE ANGLE...) I decided I wouldn't junk up bandwidth with entirely non-OW pic topics. But I think what most people do (mostly OW & possible OW creatures, with non-OW creatures being an exception) is a good way to do it. My opinion is if people put their pics in OT they could get lost, as people go to FC to see fan pics/fics.

And fight topics are SOOO 3 months ago...

Aye FF. As busy as OT is, pic topics would get buried too quickly. And a lot of us artists don't post pics everyday. For instance...I am in a bit of a dry spell right now...ugh. Same goes for fics...Double ugh. *hates writer/artist blocks*

I don't know, I think that non-Odd pictures are okay, so long as they don't get more, um... prolific? ...than Oddly ones... Anyway, Fuzz, we all get better at drawing with practise - look at some of my early stuff (ugh)! We could give you pointers.

(Any pointers on easy ways to draw hands would be welcome, too...)
