Mafia

Has anyone heard of this game Mafia where you play over the forum? Its a pretty good game, its kind of like an RPG but its more interactive i think. Coz i want to start a game of Mafia on the forums. I'll just see how if anybody knows this game before i post the rules, how to play and stuff.

Ok stole the rules off some other forum

Rules:


1.Votes must be in bold. If you do not bold your vote, it will not be counted.

2.Please be attentive and “unvote,” if necessary, before casting a new vote. This is not required, but I’d appreciate it.

3.Executions will require a simple majority of votes. Once a player has reached the necessary majority, his pleas are useless and any attempts to unvote will be unheeded. You may vote: no lynch – majority votes of this kind are necessary to end the day without a death.

4.The game is not to be discussed outside of the thread unless your role specifically states that you may do so.

5.Once your death scene has been posted, you’re dead. Stop typing. Of course a post death “Bah” or something like that is acceptable.

6.Don’t edit/delete previously submitted posts

7.Don’t quote any PMs from me.

8.If you have a night choice to make, it is due by the posted deadline. I will not wait for you – if you do not submit a choice to me, tough! No choice will be made.

Okay, so how do we get started? *eats more spaghetti*

Ok heres the aim of the game, just say 20 people signed up for this game. Out of the 20 people, there are 2 groups of 2 mafias, so 4 mafias. Every night, the mafias will choose someone to kill, obviously they will try to kill the other 16 innocent people. So the aim of the other 16 innocent people is to vote the person you mostly suspect is a mafia.

Ok a night, is when everyone has voted and a person has been voted a majority of vote, that person will then be hanged by all the other people in the game. After that, the 4 mafia will then message the moderator of this game and do their night actions. Which means choosing someone to kill, the next day the people who got killed in the night will be announced and the people that are left will have to decide who to hang again muahha.

But there is also lots of different roles, out of the 16 innocent, one of them is a cop. Every night, he message the moderator of this game and he can follow one of the person in the game. Then the moderator would tell him if the person he chose to follow is a mafia or a innocent. So if the cop guy followed a mafia, the moderator will tell him his a mafia and he would know whose the bad guy.

The cop guy would then try to convince other people in the game to vote the mafia person out. But you have to becareful, if you look to be very sure who the mafia person is, they might know you are the cop and assinate you the next nite. So you have to convince other people to vote the mafia guy out but try not to get the mafia to know you're the cop.

If people start voting to hang you, you can have the chance to plead that you are innocent. The mafia would also be posting and trying to divert everyones attention.
