Syphon Filter omega strain details, I know about the customization for your character you play as. But gameplay details, etc, would be great!

Same with RE Outbreak if possible.

What, no FFX-2. Stupid Square Europe. *grumbles*

Anyway, it would have been really cool to go to something like that. Is it industry only like E3, or can anyone just turn up and play lots of games which aren't out yet?

Thats one thing that I dont like about E3 anymore. It used to be like normal public conventions, but now you have to have either been invited, won a contest, or other special vip reason.

Speaking of E3, I will now toot my own horn.

I write video game reviews for a fairly well known website. Because this is a tech/review site, we will be getting 'press' passes to next years E3.

Or so my 'boss' claims.

Feel free to worship me, regardless.

Oh, is that what they're calling it in England? Here in Merka, it's "Ratchet and Clank 2: Going Commando." Charming.

And Dave gives me yet another reason to hate him...

wow people slow down.

Rachet and clank 2: locked and loaded - this was a very interesting game, not my kind exactally, but i did find it very fun. And there are lots of big guns.

Jak II: renagade - i liked this one, very good graphics (even for PS2) and you egt tons of cool weapons to "play" with. Very cool enemies, good design.

Medal of honour: rising sun - this was a very good game, it is cabable of on-line play, set in the jungles (vietnam i guess). The graphics were a bit bad, not very detatiled, but you do get a thompson with a drum of ammo and vertical grip (chicago style). It also got a co-op mode.

syphon filter: the omega strain - this game wasnt bad, just looked like a MGS rip off to me. But its fun, ya get a shotgun (not very stealthy) but it has very good graphics and over all a fun game.

Resident evil: outbreak - this was good, i didnt play much do to its popularity, but its very realistic. Your health effects the way you walk, when i was nearly dead, i had to pull myself along the floor! Good detail in the zombies.

No its not like E3, it was a public thing, anyone could go. But the tickets were quite expensive, an ya get a goodie bag full of cool stuff ; )

XIII - this was one of the best games there, and forget stealthy, i got to run into a room filled with guards and kill em all with me M-16! (good reload animations) and the cell shading is superb. It is very realistic in how every thing is effected by what you do to it (bullets holes in walls, glass shatters ect ect) and you can go down in just a couple of bullets. Lots of blood though, which makes it look cheap.

Apparently you havent played the first three games then.

You can usually choose to be stealthy, or run and gun, whatever suits you. Syphon Filter definately was different from MGS though. The whole way you play the game is much different atleast IMO.

GT4 eh? it was just like a racing game, but better. Very sharp graphics, and cool level layouts. But the best bit was playing it while sitting in a seat that moved as you played! it was real!

*worships DI* You know that I'll be asking for a report on OW3 if they have anything there next year. LOL

I could go, but I don't know when I'll be going back to the US. I can get a pass, but I've just never been able to use it. I blame stupid circumstances for that. I could have gone the last 2 years. *grumbles*

DI - How did you get a job doing that?

Ferill - In 'XIII' when you say about 'bullet holes' do you mean just holes in enviroments or when you look through them you can see the room on the otherside?

I.G.I claimed to have shtuffs like interactive enviro's but in the end you just got black holes on the surfaces of shtuffs...very shite

Hey Goldeneye was a great FPS, its a classic. Hell, I still have that and perfect dark in my closet.

It was more realistic when you turned down the health and either put one shot kills, or negative health handicaps.

Whoa! I'm not dissin' Goldeneye! I love that game! I'm just saying that without Goldeneye, we wouldn't be where we are today. Goldeneye has made a great mark in the FPS genre and we owe it some credit for all the great games we have now!

jacob, I was lucky enough to have an old [when I say old, I mean we were friends from pre-school until 8th grade] friend move back to town, and it just so happened he runs a tech/review site.

It is currently being revamped, and changing servers, though.

Anyway, he moved back, and gave me a job, since for the passed 2 years, I have had my own small review site, and done the occasional review for a few others.
