Now I know there are people who will disagree, but Halo is one of the greatest games ever made, the best game on Xbox, and one of the Best FPS ever made. In my opinion atleast.

And to date, has sold Three to four million copies in the U.S. alone.

When Halo 2 comes out it will surpass Halo in everyway.

How bungie did it? Its just Bungie I guess. A great company that has people who actually care about creating some of the best games ever made, and actually making the game fun, wanting to play their games. And also, pleasing their large fan base. Just stop by their websites and online community and you will begin to see what I'm talking about.

They also took risks, and tried to accoplish new things, and really push the envelope of where their games can really go.

Added in with superb AI, dynamic Music, and everything else put in, is what molded it into what it is.

Plus I recommend highly reading the prequel The Fall of Reach, and maybe reading the Novelization "The Flood". I know winter I'll be picking up the third book too, first Strike. And am proud to own the soundtrack of the game.

As for Halo right now...

I am going to be getting halo for pc, mainly for the online multiplayer mode/map editors, and all the new vehicles like Banshees in multiplayer, and the flamethrower, fuel rod cannon, and also the six new huge outdoor maps for MP.

Well, as you can see Im a really big fan of Halo.

Ugh, it's not the best game EVER. There isn't one game out there that you can say is the best game ever, because there's so many genres, and each one is so different you can't judge them all at once. You may think it's a very well done sci-fi shooter, but it's not the best game ever.

Thats true, there are some other games that I think are some of the great milestone games. Such as The original Zelda, Mario Broths, Earth Bound, Ocarina of Time, Goldeneye, etc. Halo is probably the best scifi shooter, and another great Mile Stone game.

I agree, it cant compare to everytype of genre. Its just in my opinion one of favorite games, and one of the best games(in my opinion again).

Haha Josh, I was going to say the exact same thing. That was until I saw your damned reply

I don't hate Halo, but I wouldn't place it very high on my list of favourite games. I'm a very strong Adventure-Platformer gamer. I did however get very bored one weekend and played Halo for a bit.

I reached the second segment of Truth and Reconciliation! Which for me, is much further than I should have ever gone.

*runs away screaming* Not another Halo topic!!! Well at least there hasn't been one for a while.

I wouldn't say it's the best game ever ... but that's because everyone has their own opinion of what the best game ever is. For me it's Oddworld and Final Fantasy. But other people hate those games. So really there is no best game ever. Even a really bad game has it's fans. However, there are successful games, and unsuccessful games. Halo is a successful game. For what reasons I'm unsure, but it certainly is good that the Xbox has a successful game, otherwise they may have struggled.

As for Halo, it's okay. I never really got into playing it. It's mostly sitting in it's box not really used much. One day I'll get around to playing it though. I'd like to give it a go.

I do have one problem w/ what I saw of Halo though. Lack of (or more so no) FMVs. You've gotta have FMVs!!!

Abe Babe...

I've never played it! Is it really good and worth buying or not? I've allready read all the posts, so I know what you all think about it, but what I mean is: is it fun to beat over and over again?

I suggest renting it first.

Aw.....did you complete Legendary Mode? I still haven't cracked it due to I'm still on the Covenant ship, which is not easy...

And Grig....So far rent it...I did and then bought it...it was amazing, found it fun running over aliens, but thats not all there is to it.

But that means that you paid 5 dollors more than you would have when you could have just bought it! I hate waisting money, considering I don't have much!

Wolverines Revenge sounds good, I heard it was really good and worth the money you pay for it! Hey, is Spiderman a really goo game? I'm XBOX deprived! Need more XBOX!

Spiderman is quite good. The cutscenes are mightily shite though and some of the levels are boring.

Spiderman 2 is gonna have free roaming, like GTA...which should be rather jolly.

I think they should do a GTA-like Angel game...where you pick the missions when they come to you as cases but when Cordy gets a vision then you have to go to it...and you get to drive around in his car, beit night or day...

Halo isn't the best game ever, of course. I mean, I say its the best FPS (along with Half-Life), but until Halo 2 or the PC version comes out, I don't think theres any real online multiplayer unless you count putting it through your PC real. Half-Life simply has better replay value though to its endless expansions. Meh.

Whatever... its IS the big name though of FPSs for this time period though. Doom/Quake/Qolfenstein, etc... are old, Goldeneye for N64 stuff, HL after that and now Halo. Booyah.

Well the reason It never got boring for me, was Ive played a lot of the multiplayer since completing the Campaign mode. Multiplayer, if you have friends that come over almost everyday, we used to play it for hours, similar to how we used to play Goldeneye and perfect dark.

I recommend that if you dont want to get bored make sure you have friends, or siblings that dont mind playing multiplayer a lot, and you'll see why it gets addictive. Or better yet to occasionally have a big Lan tournament with sixteen people! Thats great when you walk in the room on wizard, with a shotgun or rocket....yeah...

OK, cool! I can deal with boring levels if the rest is good.
I think they'll make an Angel game, eventually. But you couldn't drive as Angel in Angels car in the day unless you had the ring of amara!

I agree totally with Mac. Once you finish all the levels it's time to load it up, pull, and fire. It serves purpose as a nice drinks coaster if you don't own are fire-arm though.

The more people go on about it being the best game, the more I dislike it. So just stop it. I had almost regenerated my respect for it.

Well if you dont have friends, or other people who like the game, I guess after the campaign you can load it up. But most games are like that once you beat them. For me, I have put away MO, and occasionally bring it out once every few months, I havent played Halo for a few months, mainly because Im playing Kotor. But Halo multiplayer is what keeps me playing it still. Thats why Im getting the pc version, and Halo 2 after the campaign I will do the same. I will from time to time play through some of my favorite levels in Halo, but like I said the multiplayer is what kept me coming back.
