I wanted to know the people of the forums opinion on, do you think the switch from 2-d to 3-d will affect gameplay in oddworld and any other games.

I think that the move to 3D environment is a great addtion to the gameplay experience of Oddworld games.

Abe's games was just fantastic, they are my two favorite videogames, but the fact that you can only scroll left-right and up-down in those games, makes me fell frustrated sometimes, whan I stare to a really beautifull background of Paramonia, or in the necrum, but I'm not able to explore the place.

In some interviews, Lorne Lanning stated that they was working hard to solve the major gameplay problems in 3d environments that we find in many 3D games (Lara Croft's Tomb Raider, for instance, the camera is often in the wrong place, the character is really dumb sometimes, running straight into walls, or having dificulties to grab an item on the floor, or pulling a switch, the list goes on).

From what I've seen in the demo video footages of Munch's Oddysee, OWI solved many of the problems I mentioned above, and I hope the final version of the game can be even better than the demos, because there is a few points that can be improved, mainly the smoothness of character's movements and a more fluid movement of the camera.

I'm sure this game is gonna be great, no doubt!!

Thanks for your comments,
i hope more people will share their opinions.
i do agree with you, the 3d games will be less frustraiting because there will bee less limitations on movment and the A.I will expand the charecters vocabulary so they won't be limited in speach and just say like six things.

overall i think the gameplay will be vastly improved.

P.S please more people add your comments
