*peeks out from under the bed* Yes, another one of my weird little stories. I'm going to try to keep this one going (promiss! ). Though it might be slower due to my computer problems. Spelling probly isn't pertfect either..Anyhoo...

~~~~Chapter. 0: (intro)
~Gellion:
It was a good day--clear skies, gentle breaze, and a whole field of new grass all to myself. I like grass. Grass is good. I like to chew the same mouthfull for a half hour or so. I was just about to grab another bite when---
~~~~
~Zell:
"Told you!" Devis laughed.
"Shut up.." I mumbled, frustratedly making my way towards Gellion, my ellum.
Dev & I had been searching the entire village for Gell, and here he was, eating our already pitifull crops.
"Gell" I called, "Gellion, come here"
Like I expected him to--he ignored me.
"Fine" I said, unraveling the lead and halter I had had at the ready in my left hand.
"Round two.." I heard Devis snicker behind me--
~~~~
~Devis:
"This is gonna be good..." I thought to myself, smugly rubbing my hands together & taking a seat to watch the fireworks (at a safe distance that is)
~~~~
~Gellion:
"What?!" I looked up at master, "Oh NO you dont!"
I bellowed, turning to run away from the rope monster. I'm sure Zell wasn't very happy with me--or at leats thats what his tone was telling me. All I knew was that I wasn't going to let the rope monster touch me without a fight.
~~~~
~Zell:
"D@mnit!" Gell had already started running before I could finish my swearing. I sped off after him--Chasing him in large circles around the field. We trampled much of the already struggling Niwa oats.
I'm pretty sure Devis was laughing his butt off by now. He wasnt the most helpfull of mudokons--
~~~~
~Devis:
I've always found these bouts between Zell and the Gellerz hilarious. I was clutching my sides uncontrolably by the time my poor buddies had done about seven laps around the field. I felt like I was going to collapse.
~~~~
~Zell:
Finally, Gell was starting to slow down enough for me to catch up. Almost out of breath, I closed the distance between me and the d@mned creature & lept onto his back--
~~~~
~Gellion:
I know I shouldn't have, but I tried to buck master off. He didin't let go. So, I flopped onto my back and rolled over on him.
~~~~
~Zell:
My frustrated screams where suddenly muffled by easily twice my weight of stubborn elum. Taking hold of him by the horns, I tried to wrestle Gell off of me.
"DEV?!" I tried to shout from beneath Gellion (who was winning at this point)
"Where is the guy when ya need him!?" I thought.
I guess my large brown freind decided that squishing me to death wasn't the best idea--
~~~~
~Gellion:
Zell is strong for such a scrawny creature. I flipped over & back onto my feet. He still wouldn't let go of my horns!
"LET GO!" I growled, shaking my head--(and my master with it)
~~~~
~Zell:
"A little help Devis!?" I yelled at the top of my lungs, as Gell shook me like a rag doll.
"Oh C'mon! You're doing great!" Devis chuckled sarcasticly, "You can take 'em!"
~~~~
~Devis:
I guess I decided my chum was serious when Gellion d@mn near flung him through the air like a sack of potatoes. I was there in a flash the second Zell actually needed me.
It was fairly easy to get Gell under control once both Zell & I had hold of him.
"Remind...me..to slap you upside the head...when my hands arent full" Zell panted, slipping the lead & halter onto his exhausted elum.
"Now, now" I smirked, "Why so hasty?"
~~~~
~Gellion:
Well, the rope monster had caught me. I let out a sad moo in apology to Zell. I really hadn't intented to shake him that hard. I know he was sorry too, he doesn't like tying me up either. Zell was petting me. That made me feel better.
~~~~
~Zell:
Had my hands been free at the moment I probably would have smacked Devis.
The yellow-green mudokon was still grinning from ear to ear. I decided to drop it and let Devis laugh.
"No more village crops for you" I said, giving Gellion a gentle scritch between the horns. He was already making his "I've been very, very, bad" sound. Poor guy, I know he doesnt like being tied or penned up.
"Are you two lovebirds going to here all day, or can we go get some munchies?" Grinned Dev casually.
"Alright" I said, elbowing him in the ribs as I passed by.

Like I promissed.. Though it might take me a couple days to get Chap. 2 up...ack! spelling errors...

Chap. 1: "Ged's going to kill us..."
~~~~
~Devis:
Things where nice and peacefull once we'd gotten Gellion back into his stable with my own ellum, Zanger. Apearently, I'd forgotten to close the gate or something and, long staroy short, Gell had gotten out. Ol' Zang had been nice enough to give us a break & stay put while his young chum went out for a romp.
I sat across from Zell at our "table" (a large flat rock in the middle of our tent) slurping down some mushroom soup. I actually quite liked our little bachlor pad. It wasn't much, but it was all we needed. We had our hammocks set up on either side of the tent. The door flap was to the south & the fire-pit in back of the tent (to the north). We sat in the middle of it all, the fire crackling to one side and the door-flap seelled shut to the other.
Zell & I had been raised togather as kids. Needless to say, we where best buds. Niether of us really ever knew our parents--and nobody ever told us who/where they where. They'd just trail off or change the subject whenever we asked. It didn't bother me all that much. I figured it just brang me and Zell closer. Besides, Zell & I didn't need parents--In our tribe, everyone took part in taking care of children. So we'd been well cared for. Now, with zell at 16 years old and me at 17, we where roomies here in this little tent.
Unlike my lovely shade of yellow-jade, Zell's skin was more of a regular fleech-green. He also had a funny lookn' birth mark on his left shoulder-blade. It looked like someone had drawn an upside-down checkmark on his back.
Other than that, my pall & I looked like twins-- though I still think the chicks liked me better..)
~~~~
~Zell:
Closing my eyes, I took another sip of mushroom broth. I could hear Devis, my room-mate, slurping noisily across from me. I grinned at the rude sound, repeating it with my own bowl of soup.
Though Devis & I certainly looked like brothers, we werent related. There where only four ways to tell us apart-- he was about 3 inches taller, my skin was darker, I had a mark on my left shoulder, & dev's voice was slightly higher than mine.
"Ged's going to kill us if he finds out what we did to the Niwa patch" I said, opening my eyes. Ged was the current chief of our village. He'd always been a good leader, and people respected him for it. He he reminded me of Kava, an old freind mine & Devis's... I shook my head quickly--I didn't want to think about him, it hurt too much.
"Relax" smiled Devis, dropping a few Niwa oats into his mouth, "We'll simply act as if we have no idea what happened"
Niwa oats where a rare type of grain that only our tribe knew how to grow--hence our name "the Niwacans". Niwa made up a large part of our diet--so alot of us where skilled farmers.
"Alright" I hesitantly asnwered.
"Perfect, all is well then!" Dev said, rubbing his hands together, "Sooo..."
~~~~
~Devis:
"So what?" Zell asked.
"Up for a game of cards?"
"Your on!" he grinned.
"Looser makes breakfast" I added.
"That'd be you" he chuckled, shuffling the deck.
*~~~~Meanwhile, at the ellum stables~~~~*
~Gellion:
I slumped down into my bed of dried grasses. Zanger was sleeping on the other side of our stall. I like Zanger. He's the wisest ellum I've ever met--though kinda old and grumpy. Still, I looked up to him.
Zanger was much older and bigger than me. His hide was also darker with age, and his tail was longer. Half of his right horn was missing--a fight with another ellum, he'd told me when I'd asked him. He must have been handsome in his youth, I thought--he still looked good for his age.
I still felt bad about tossing Zell around. I guess Zang sensed it. He woke up.
"Something wrong?" he asked, slowly lifting his head to look at me.
I told him about what had happened in the field today. He thought it was funny.
"I wish I hadn't shook him so hard" I mooed quietly, " but he was trying to put the rope mon--"
"Lead and halter" Zanger corrected.
"right"
"He ment well you know", Zang said calmly.
"I know..."
I love Zell. He saved me when I was just a small calf--thats how I met him.
"I just dont like ropes.." I continued.
~~~~
~Zanger:
Gellion had had an exiting afternoon in the fields today. I knew the young buck wouldn't be able to resist when my master, Devis, accidentally left the gate to our pen open. I, on the other hand, had been content to stay and eat my oats.
Gell was a young ellum, just barely becoming a full grown buck--yet big enough for Zell, his master, to ride. He was a light golden brown with a copper back and tail. A perfect set of shiny black horns on his head. He was going to grow into a strong buck. Like I had been when I was younger.
Gell was feeling a bit guilty for being a little rough on his master. So, I was trying to reasure him that Zell wasn't going to begrudge him for rattling his brains around a bit.
Eventually, the buck calmed down and we where able to discuss more pleasant matters.
"So what did you do all day?", he asked curiously.
"Would you believe I actually just stayed here?" I said, giving my tail a gentle wag.

Yes.... It's quite good. Not the usual routine about someone escaping from some strange place. I like it

Aw *sniff* Tankies guys. I wasn't sure whether people liked it or not. Anyways, sorry for taking so long to get this up-- something unexpected popped up. I'll have to type this next chapeter in parts because its a bit longer....enjoy

Chapter 2: "Looser makes breakfast"
~~~~
~Warren:
"Security!" The scientist cried out franticly, waving all four of his thin, fail arms, "S-"
"What security?" I asked, picking my teeth with the finger bone of a big bro slig who'd been carrying a huge weapon only seconds ago.
"Oh odd...." he shuddered, hopelessly backing up against the communicator, "please--dont kill me..."
His eyes darted around the room, they feel upon the communicator as he pushed a button.
"Operator!" the vikker shrieked, "We need back up inYAAaAaaaaaa!"
I snarled in pleasure at the taste of his blood. Effortlessly, I threw the lifeless body against the communicator--leaving a large dent & sending sparks back at me. Backing away, I realized that the room was catching fire.
Shifting the rest of the way into Gaian form, I ran from the room in search of the exit...
*~~Meanwhile~~*
~~~~
~Devis:
I had lost miserably against zell last night. So, as I promissed, I got up early and made breakfast with the last of the food in my pack.
Okay, so dried lana fruit on toasted bread wasn't much, but on an empty stomach, it looked good .
"brrrreakfast" I said in an annoying sing-song voice to my still sleeping chum.
Zell didn't budge. I grinned listening to him snore.
"hm.." I paused, then shrugged, "guess he doesn't want any..."
"more for me...." I thought, taking a seat.
I was just about to take a bite when a finger jabbed me square in the ribs.
"Dun even think about it pall" Zell yawned, sleepily taking one of the sandwiches from me.
"Your timmings scarry man.." I said, rubbing the spot where he'd poked me.
"Well, when theres lana fruit involved.." he smilled, taking a bite.
"We need to go pick up some munchies today" I said through a mouthfull.
"we all out?"
"Yep"
"we'll go after breakfast"
"Good plan"
~~~~
~Zell:
Dev & I set out for th village center (v.c.) after breakfast. I love lana fruit. The orange berries may be small, but odd they're good.
We lived on the Northeast fring of the village. The stream the mostly surrounded our community was practically in our back yard. The Niwa feild I had chased Gell around was a little ways Southwest of the village. A large hill lay just between the village and the Niwa patch. All of this was surrounded by forest.
Me & Dev where headed Sw for the v.c. It was a wooden hut that the tribe used to store food and other supplies. Next to the v.c. was a smokehouse. To the other side was Arbus's hut. Arbus's job was to look after the village center.
"ello Arb!" Devis called out to the chubby mud as we aproached.
"Devis! Zell! How are you?" Arbus answered, wearing his usuall smile. He handed something to a young girl ( Bell)and came over to us.
"you kids hear what happened to the Niwa feild?"
"No" I said, trying to sound suprized, "what?"
"Oh, it got totally wrecked" Arbus shook his head, "they say it looked like an elum had gotten loose an' tampled everything"
"really?"
"Ged and a few others are tracking the culprit as we speak"
"WHa!? I-i mean.."
~~~~
~Devis:
Zell was gonna blow it if I didn't do something fats. I caught sight of Bell, who'd been listening to the conversation.
"Why Bell!" I erxcalimed, hoping to get Arb's attention., "when was the last time I've seen you?"
"Hi Devis" she giggled exitedly.
Arbus turned away to look at Bell. I sighed slightly, the distraction had worked.
"How old are you Bell?" asked Zell helpfully.
I smiled a silent thankyou.
"Seven!"
"They grow up so fast" Arbus grinned.

((Eep! Hold on--I'll get the rest of it up shortly!))

*Sigh* Hate to double post but...

Chapter. 2 (continued): "Looser mokes breakfast..."
~~~~
~Gellion:
"Morning" I said, getting up to eat alongside Zanger.
"Good morning Gell" Zang snorted, waving his tail slowly.
Shaking my head, I took another mouthfull of oats..
~~~~
~Devis:
After a long, boring chat, Bell finally left. Arbus helped us get the things we needed and chatted with us for a while longer. Eventually, bored outtah my witts, I decided that it was time to go.
"Why dont we go visit the guys before we head back?" I asked.
By "guys", I meant Zang and Gell.
"Yeah, sure" Zell sighed tiredly.
"Hey" I grinned, giving him a feindly slug on the shoulder, "S'okay pall"
I could tell he was still a little embarassed for almost loosing his cool back the--!
"Hello.." I had just spotted Jen, one of the many fair damsels living in our village. I had had a crush on her since I'd met her. I suspected she liked me back--she just didn't want to look like an idiot for liking..erm, well..the village idiot. Zell sighed impatiently behind me- I paid no attention.
"The name of this handsome guy before you is Devis" I smiled, walking over to her.
"Buzz off Dev" She said coolly. Her feather shined exquisetly in the morning sun.
"Oooh, she likes me" I teased.
"Not in a million years twerp" She sounded so cute when she was annoyed with me.
"I like those odds" I grinned, reaching to put an arm around her should--
*WHAP!*
~~~~
~Zell:
Poor Dev. He was a bit of a sucker for ladies--especially Jen, who'd been less than thrilled about talking to him. She'd smacked him before he could so much a touch her. Before Devis could recover, Jen had left.
"reeal smooth Dev" I chuckled as he plodded heavily towards me, rubbing his blushing cheek.
"Zell, please.." he sighed, eyes half closed in humiliation. The look on his face made me feel bad for laughing.
"Sorry" I apologized, clapping him on the back.
Dev's usuall grin flashed back to his face instantly.
"Well then?" he said cheerfully, "To the stables! Mush!"
~~~~
~Devis:
Feeling better, I led the way to the elum stables. They wherent far. The stables inhabited the Northwestern corner of the village--just a little ways from the v.c. They where a sheltered, wooden row in the shape of an "L". Each stall cconained two elums. So, like their owners, Zang & Gell where roomies.
Zanger was drinking deeply from the water bin. Gell crunched on oats nearby. Seeing them made me forget about Jen.
~~~~
~Zell:
"Hey Stinky" Devis greeted his elum, entering the pen and patting him.
Dev was pretty much the only creature that Zang wouldn't kick.
"Ello Gell" I said as my copper backed freind covered my hand in slobber.
~~~~
~Gellion:
"ZELL!" I mooded happily, licking his hands.
I could tell he'd eaten lana fruit this morning. Zanger was talking to Devis nearby. I loved it when Zell came to see me..
~~~~
~Zell:
Dylan had been waiting for us. He was a handsome mud. Older than me by two years with a dark scar decorating his shoulder. Bigger than me and dev, he stood nearly 6 feet tall. His skin was the same color as mine--only deeper and more stiking against his long, dark feather.
Despite the apearance, Dylan had two totaly different personalities. I public, he was the honorable hero everyone believed him to be...and then there was the egotistical jerk he was when no one was looking (which he seemed to reserve mostly for Dev & I). To the tribe, Dylan was a respected future chief--I was just the village idiot's companion.
Dylan normally had Jayzeck, his minion/freind, close by. In this case, however, he was alone.
"Well now--what have we here?" The tall mud smirked as he aproached, "little Zell & numbskull Debis"
He seemed particularly happy about something--not a good sign for me n' Dev.
"Its Devis"
"What do you want?" I asked, petting Gellion.
"Oh--nothing, Zell" he said, his smirk getting a little bigger, "You see, Ged sentto look for you two goons--Says he wants to see you, Zell"
What was he talking abou---Uh-oh.. I suddenly remembered what Arbus had told me.
"What?" I swallowed hard..
"You heard me twit" Dylan said impatiantly, "Ge wants to see you"
"Emediatly" he added with another smug look.
~~~~
~Warren:
The explosions where distant at first as I made my way down the rust choked hallway. In seconds they where deafeningly close behind me. I growled in pain as flames licked at my feline tail. I shifted partially back into green-skin to save it from the inferno. I ran as fast as my paw/feet could carry me.
Somtheing up ahead caught my attention as I ran for my life. A small, shivering green-skin lay cowering on the ground next to an uninhabited testing pool. Like a frightened child to its mother, she pressed herself as close to the wall as she could.
She didn't deserve to die like this--burned alive in a place she'd been trapped, enslaved, and tortured--just as I had been.
But there was nothing I could do for her. We'd both be killed if I stopped. I had to keep running...unless..I pushed her into the pool as I ran past her. I didn't have time to make sure whether she knew how to swim-but it was I could do. At least, I thought, It may not be as painfull to drown than to be burnt to a crisp.
Finally, I saw a door with the word "EXIT" witten above it...

((Thats better... Sorries for the confusion!))
