I don't remember any of those, but there are some programs I can think of. Do you guys remember Captain Planet? That show was so dumb!

Captain Planet! He's a hero! Gonna cut pollution down to zero!

Or something like that. I also LOVED Speed Racer. Thunder Cats and the original Transformers were OK. There was also this one show... can't remember it's name... Power Rangers ripped it off... Voltron? Maybe?

Nickelodeon is home to a lot of old shows like: "Salute your shorts", "Clarissa explains it all" and such. I used to have all my tv watching at nick, but I have better things to do now. Well, occasional SpongeBob is good for the soul.

I HATE Nickalodian after they dropped their only good show and repalced it with giant fatassed sumo's. Christ, you might as well make a show about a penis who fights crimes in scrotumville. I LOVED Speed Racer! THAT CAR WAS SO COOL!!

It seems like most of Nicks new shows, like SDS and all that crap seems to have vanished. Not that its a bad thing, but I doubt those were ever meant to be full series.

I take it that that "good show" yoru talking about is Invader Zim. It had a lot of fans, but it also had a bunch of not-so-fans, or something like that. At least be hapy that they're showing some of the older cartoons on Sundays

I hated Captain planet. It pissed me off whenever it came on. Now GI Joe, THERES a cool, old cartoon.

I remember Galaxy High, I used to get up early to see those cartoons.

I didn't like Captain Planet though, I know he was a good guy saving the planet.... maybe it was the fact that he was green and blue ALL over. I always wanted to have one of those rings though!

I remember a lot of the old shows and cartoons. I lived in that era since I was born in 1981.
Here is what I remember:
Smurfs
Transformers (original)
Gummy Bears
GIJOE
Voltron
GoBots
Thunder Cats
Tom and Jerry (I always wanted them to talk)
The Bugs Bunny and Tweety Show!
Tiny Toons
Ewoks
Droids
Rock Solders (I use to collect all the toys)
There are just so many shows ah the memories!

The best educational shows were:
The Letter People, (Remember that show remember the song? "Come and meet the Letter People come and meet and follow me. Words are made from the Letter People ABCD follow me!" I think thats how it goes its been while since I seen it.)

Captain Kangaroo (the old show from the 70's)
The old Sesime Street (I use to always watch that at 12:00 noon for lunch)
Space Coaster
This show was around when I was born but they dident last real long I was three when they no longered aired.

I used to strongly dislike Captain Planet. But if I ever saw the first few minutes, I couldn't help watching the rest.
Of course, I would never admit that to my friends.

Dude... I've completely forgotten about Shining Time Station. My favorite was the one where conductor had the evil clone person... Heh. And Gumby. Gumby was cool too. As was Sesame Street. In fact, I watched that for like an hour last year when I was sick. Except some of the little mini songs with animations are creepy.

Props to Nicktoons TV, also. Props for all of the old shows being on at least once a day. I also just took a liking for Nick GAS, another digital cabale channel. They have Salute Your Shorts on every day. Plus alot of the old Nick game shows. Then theres Nogin, which has Pete and Pete.

I like knowing that I have good, daily access to all of the old, good shows from Nick Go digital cable!

Whoa. Whoa whoa whoa... I forgot to mention Scooby Doo. I pride myself in having seen most all episodes of one of the versions, and most all of the Scooby Movies (series, not actual movies). Booyah. Scooby Doo used to be my favorite cartoon, until it got to the point of almost pure reruns. Heh...

Do you guys remember "a pup named Scooby Doo"? It was a cartoon about the Scooby gang when they were wee lads. I used to love that show when I was a kid, but I saw part of an episode recently and I didn't see why I had liked it.

I go back longer than you guys, but my favorite cartoons as a kid were Battle of the Planets, Voltron and the original Astro Boy. Indicdently enough they are all animes, and I didn't even know what anime was when I was a little kid.

As for short and lame animation, I used to watch a 5 min cartoon called Roger Ramjet, who actually promoted the use of steroids by needing to take his "proton pill". LOL

Majic, you like Nickalodean(sp?)? How? It sucks. The ads all have jokes about toilets and farting. It sucks!

I used to remember watching something called 'He-man' which on in the morning. I have no idea what it was about, or if it was even good. Does anyone else know what it is? I think there is a new series of if now or something.
