Could there be more than one Almighty Raison?

Could there be more Raisons out there and not only the one we know of as the Almighty Raison? In a way the Almighty Raison reminds me of the Ents in Lord of The Rings.

It would be interesting to see a society of Raisons liveing in remote places on Oddworld. Like you would visit these massive underground catacombs and what it would look like is a strange underground forest with Raisons everywhere sleeping or meditating. Plus the Raisons won't look the same they would look different from each other. Like skinny ones to fat ones like the Almighty Raison. Small to big, different colors, and of course very young Raisons to very ancient Raisons like the Almighty Raison. And Raisons who are starting out as small strange looking trees.

A society of Raisons what do you think?

...No. He is almighty not one out of a handful of mighty, but the almighty! Then again I could be proven wrong, stranger things have happened. Besides, what's so great about being a rasin? He's almighty, but I guess he got the short straw.

On the official site, I think it stated that the Almighty raisin came from this really ancient and sacred tree(or something like that). So basically, he is like the fruit of a tree... well, sorta. So there could possibley be others, or, another younger one that is maturing while perhaps the almighty raisin develops into a tree of some sort...

Happy One Raisin, Many Elderlings

The Almighty Raisin belongs to a race called the elderlings. The elderlings are a very rare species and live a long time. There are undoubtably other elderlings on oddworld, all at different stages in their lives. Us seeing them however is very unlikely since they are few and widespread. Most likely they all share similar powers to the Almight Raisin of Mudos.

my theory is that they live far from each other but communicate by spirit, and so know what happens on the other side of oddworld, whithout sending a poor little rat to there...

such as a Elderling Net

Adding to Khanz, the Elderlings spend the first 6,000 years of their life as an Elder tree. After this period they shed thier bark and limbs becoming an Elderling. Our particular Elderling the Rasin began his life as an Elder tree in the forests located far north of the territories of Mudos. He is currently 14,400 years old and is now residing in a caveren underneth the mountains of Mudos.

This is my favorite concept art of the Raisin. doesn't he look like he is liveing in the slig Berrecks in this picture? Or some kind of industrial junk yard? When I first saw this I new the Raisin was an old tree so it got me thinking maybe Splinters cut him down and forgot about him and left him in a massive junkyard. That was what my impression was when I first saw this pic.

I would like to see an idea on what he looked like at his beginnings and Oddworld as a whole for the most part. But more elderlings is pretty cool. I wounder if they look the same?

I was allways wondering who is next to abe on this picture...
I can be Munch but he doesn't looks like Munch.
It can be one of the next heroes since the Raisin was originally planned to appear later in the story...

No, the Raisin was the result of random drawings, and Lorne or someone thought: "Hey, this looks cool!" and the new creation was merged into Munch's Oddysee.

I was thinking just last night about how it might be interesting to have a series of games looking at Oddworld's past, much like what Star Wars and Star Trek have done. In my mind I imagined a Victorian-age Oddworld with Meeches, a couple-of-thousand years-ago-age Oddworld, where Interns and Vykkers are equals, but practice archaic medicine, and a maybe there could be a prehistoric-age Oddworld where the Raisin is born, or just an earlier stage in his life.

:
The Raisin was not originally planned as a character for Munch's Oddysee. Production Design was developing another character when Lorne spotted a small thumbnail sketch. He thought it was cool and happily the Almighty Raisin was born. His textures are inspired by tree bark since his first 6000 years were spent as an elder tree.
you are probably right Max...

Elderlings are simply creatures that are there to keep track of tradition and to guide heroes.
They have no means of moving. so if he was born in a forest, how did he get in the cave?

The Raisin hasn't always been immobile. He once had limbs that he could move with. He's a creature that changes many times during its life.

yeah I tought so too but before saying that I went on the official site to check

look at what it says:

:
The Almighty Raisin has no arms or legs, is about 12 feet in height, and weighs a little more than a ton. Unable to move without the help of others, the Almighty Raisin spends all of his time sitting about in his lair, astrally projecting his consciousness onto the world above.

Post Well there you go

It says he can't move without the help of others. He probably got the help of several thousand mudokons to pull him into a cave.

But, Max is prob right, since he is an encyclopedia.

I think it'd be pretty awesome to see an Almighty Raising with huge hulky arms and legs, towering 30 feet in the air.

I don't see him haveing two legs and two arms but I defenitly see him moveing about the land in this fashion. He would use roots that would act like extensions or a bunch of arms pushing him across the land imagine a tree moveing swiftly because of the its roots tearing up the ground. Thats how I think the Raisin would move.
