Which do you like better? The 2D version of Oddworld was a great challenge.... but the 3D version had such lovely environments to roam... Do you believe that with their next game (after working out how to make a good 3D game) OWI will be able to make the 3D platform just as challenging?
I vote for 3D. If OWI can make their games as challenging and puzzling in three dimensions as the first two games were, we'll have a game that's worth playing. Period. Add the awesome graphics the Xbox can promise with traditional - not the horrible 'cool' image I'm worried we may be leaning towards - Oddworld style humour and darkness, and Bingo!

I may not have an X-Box but I won't let my sourness get the better of me. I vote 3-D, its the way of the future. From what Iv'e played of MO was a nice change from 2-D but still rocked (like it wouldn't ) and I want to rent it soon (my friend has an X-Box) so I can dig my teeth into it.

I am a little bit of both worlds. I like 2D for the challenge and rather beatiful enviorments. And I like 3D because now it opens the doors to enter those beatiful envirorments we saw in AO and AE. I like both worlds myself.
So far I like the 2D games better, but that's just for Oddworld. Other games I think of would never be any good being played in a 2D world.
But if OWI can get the next one right then I will consider changing my thoughts.
I voted 3D.... but I'm not saying "screw those unrealistic sprites". Like Mac said, it really does depend on the game. And also, AO and AE aren't entirely 2D
