Sad news from Majic Abe

I am posting this for Majic_Abe, as he was unable to.

Yea, I won't be around for an unknown period of time. Due to some procrastination on a project (which I have still finished on time with good quality) and a messy room, my dads like done some funky thing where the OWF are blocked by our router. So I can't do any posting. And since I don't know how long this'll be for, this poses a problem.I would have made the post myself, except I didn't know my dad did it. Ehehe... I can still be in oddchat and junk, but I won't be able to do any OIPT stuff or moderating duties. So yea, just to let you all know. God this sucks.

Well, I hope you (even though you can't read this at the moment) get the computer to display the forums.

Now the interesting thing would be "did" he block just the forums URL or the IP address.

Maybe (and Kai could pass this on) if he tried accessing the forums by either http://www.oddworld.au.com/forums or http://216.101.14.114/forums he might be able to get in.

Of course this is all dependant on what was blocked. If he blocked the IP it won't work... but it's worth a try. Good luck!

Oh my that really sucks! I know you can't read this but that is a real shame. I am so sorry. The only solution I can think of is use computers in your lybraries as a temporary source to get on the forums. But that really sucks mann. We hope that doesnt last.

Somehow I just KNEW you were going to say that. ^_^ If a time came that we did need another mod to take his place, than someone should get in touch with him and let him choose.

Awww... poor Majic. I'll miss the little bugger... he was one of the few voices of sanity around here... I hope he gets back soon.

This is too bad. Majic always seemed to be one of the more "normal" members.

But if his Dad went to all that trouble to keep him away from the forums, it is probably best that he took some time off.

Poor, poor Majic. I really sad to hear this, but the good news is I can still chat with him in Oddchat. Still, its dissappointing that he won't be here for who know how long?

Well you answered what I was going to tell them.

And also, dont think your safe from banning members. To solve this, Normal Mods such as Disgruntled Intern, Majic, Myself, Alector, Rex Tirano, Xavier, Mac, and Kai. Cannot Ban members, we can issue warning that are to be taken as serious because three warnings, we are allowed to ask or tell a Head Admin to ban that member. And also in really bad situations, a full user ban, Ip, etc would be put in place. The only Staff members here that can ban members are Abe Babe, Pilot, and Alcar. Super mods and admins are allowed to which Abe Babe is the head staff/admin, Pilot is our server op/super mod, and Alcar is another supermod/oddworld Help moderator. Hope that solves any questions you have. Thanks.

yay.. With Alcars help I have those stupid links. Though the instant I'm caught on again, my dads going to get paranoid ant it'll be a full computer ban for me. And if my mom sees me on she'll freak out and tell my dad and make it bad anyways. Arg. But ayways, I'm jsut going to check this once then go back to being inactive until I have actual permission to come back on. Like Khanz said, best I took time off anyways.

Majic mentioned something to me about his Dad banning only the OWF because he was slacking on homework or seomthing like that.

Well aint this good news Majic can get through again but yea take some time off pal. You will need it just to get everything back to normal. Let the steam just pass by and you will be abel to go on again we hope. But at east we know hes not permanatly gone. Ya know?

Yay! I have like maybe 15 minutes now to be on the forums. I have to leave to go to a hockey game soon though. This is on a different computer of ours that can still get through (odd, considering that its the same connection) but I'm not allowed on yet. I just found it on, and took the oppurtunity. And also my dad found the alternate ip I used to get on for like 5 minutes one time to check something and blocked it also. Hes good.... And hes used some program that blocks email also, but I can still access my email through MSN. Hes real good.
