The Legend of the Mudokon Warrior

Introduction

I would like to share with you a story, that happened as a RP in Oddchat. With the aid of Kesiah and Sligster, we made a romantic love story of oddworld. We RPed for 3 hours on this story until we finished it. And now I will write it down here as a fan fic. This ones for you GT, I love you baby.

Prologue

Legend tells of a Mudokon warrior born a male, to protect his people. It is said the warrior will live for eternity with strengths to aid the chosen one in their never ending struggle to fight for there freedom.

The Legend of the Mudokon Warrior

It was the early afternoon in the spooce forest as the sky was already being dimed by the night, two Mudokons lay in the grass. Its Kai and Kesiah, a young pair of friends. They converse about life as they stare into the sky.
Kesiah: I can heal things, but nothing else I know of.
Kai: Hmmm...Well I could heal things aswell, but somethings missing.
Kesiah: ?
Kai: I don't quite know what.
Kesiah: Hmmm....
Kai: It's nothing in nature. *sigh*
Kesiah: What do you mean?
Kai: Well, it's more a part of me.
Kesiah: I dont understand.
Kai: It's not really the fact that I need something to help me...but more I need someone to help me.....it's hard to explain.
Kesiah: Can I heal it?
Kai: Well, yes.
Kesiah: How?
Kai: It's not a form of...magic.....it's to hard to explain.
Kesiah: Could you try?
Kai: If you'd like.
Kesiah: Please do.
Kai: In Mudokon legend, it speaks of a warrior male, that is to protect his people and aid the chosen one. The warrior is said to live for eternity and is immortal. I am that Mudokon.

Kesiah listens attentively to Kai. She knows that what he is about to say is very important.

Kai: The warrior is said to live a lonely life.
Kesiah: But why?
Kai: Well legend also speaks of the warrior to be without a soul mate. He is only meant for as a guardian and protector. He can either live for eternity or live..through another.
Kesiah: How?
Kai: The warrior can choose a mate, to continue his life through another being. I will do what is right..when the time is right.
Kesiah: How do you know when the time is right?
Kai: I dont....thats the problem.
Kesiah: How can I help?
Kai: If I only knew this feeling before. I can spend my eternity alone....or pass myself on when the time is right. I don't want to get you involved with me and my fate.
Kesiah:.......
Kai: It's a hard..scary..and very lonely life.
Kesiah: Will you leave?
Kai: No I will not leave just yet.
Kesiah: Are you worried?
Kai: Yes. Very worried. I am to meet Abe in a couple days. With me by his side we will do our best to fight back.
Kesiah: And you may not come back?
Kai: If I choose to have a mate...I lose my immortality, I may never come back then, but I would never leave either.
Kesiah: A difficult choice, to be immortal, or to live on.....through another....
Kai: Yes. But so many things could happen. Love would take my immortality away. But if I choose it...so be it.
Kesiah: What would you choose?

A silence fell upon Kai. For the first time in his life he felt as if he wanted to be loved, rather then not.

Kai:...........I would choose love.

Kai stares up into the sky and sees the dim stars glitter.

Kai: I would choose love...above all.

Kesiah stares at Kai with a feeling of security. She touches Kai's arm in a gentle manner as to get his attention. Kai turns to face her and stares deep into her eyes.

Kai: I don't know wether to die or live through eternity's many years.
Kesiah: I....feel...it must be very hard for you.
Kai: It's nothing even a immortal can easily bare.
Kesiah: How can you?
Kai: I can..only by hopeing all will be true to my decisions.

Kesiah sighs as she lowers her head then looks back at Kai.

Kai: It's nothing I want you.....such a innocent soul to get into.
Kesiah: I want to help you.....
Kai: but what do I have to ask of you?
Kesiah: What would you ask of me?

Kai closes his eyes for a second...he looks down at the ground..then back at Kesiah.

Kai: Only.....only....that you would...help me....and stay with me.....because I choose love.....with you.

Kesiah turns toward Kai slowly and locks eyes with him...their feelings both high.

Kesiah: I....feel the same...
Kai: Then there is nothing to hide between us.

Kesiah can feel her tears running down her cheeks, as a moment of love and compassion between one not to have it overwhelms them. Kai moves close to her and holds her tight in his arms. For once he has made up his mind, to give up immortality for the sake of love. Kai regains his strength to talk.

Kai: This will be a long and rough road from here on.
Kesiah: Oh Kai! I'm scared for you....
Kai: There is no need to be. I can do this as I was born to.

Kesiah wipes her tears away, the joy and fear happening at the same time is to hard to bare for her.

Kai: Thank you...for helping me...and even willing to give your life for me.
Kesiah: I would do anything for you. Because you would do the same for me.
Kai: That I would.

Kai hugs Kes again, and she hugs him back. They had now found love. Love in each other.

Kai: Now its about time we move to Necrum where I have to meet up with Abe.

Kesiah and Kai stand up as she grabs his hand.

Kesiah: I will go with you.
Kai: Then let us go together.

Kai walks with Kesiah toward the sunset streched out across the desert. Kesiah grasps Kai's hand tightly.

Kai: Its going to get cold out in the desert.

Kai takes off his cloak and wraps it around Kesiah.

Kai: There you go.
Kesiah: Thank you Kai.

Kesiah smiles up at Kai and leans against him.

Kai: We have to move abit quick as it is going to get dark soon.

And that will be all for no. We still have a long way to take this story so need not worry. Yes this was done as a RP in Oddchat before I got to put this all down. Yes it is a love story and it starts off after they meet each other. The action and fighting comes at the end. but for now you will see enchantment and love. Well love is all through this story. Kai and Kes walked together through the now almost night light sky.

Kai: There is a cave ahead, we can sleep there for the night.
Kesiah: Alright I hope you dont get too cold.
Kai: The caves are nice, I have been there before. Are you okay?
Kesiah: I'm fine. I just worry about you.

Kai smiles at her and wraps his arms around her to keep her warm.

Kai: Dont worry about me....I'm fine.

Kesiah leans into Kai's warmth, she smiles then holds onto him.

Kesiah: We should keep moving love.
Kai: Yes I know.But we have to stop somewhere, the caves will be fine, trust me.
Kesiah: I do trust you

Kai smiles and for once, feels a sense of security. He sees the cave and walks into it. Kesiah looks around the cave, with a pleased smile.

Kesiah: It's perfect for tonight.
Kai: Yes

Kai lays his cloak on the ground, as to make a blanket.

Kesiah: Should I get a fire started?

Kai has already picked up some sticks and put them in a circle.

Kai: No need to do that.

Kai kneels up to the sticks and passes his hand over it. The sticks light up into flames.

Kai: I got it covered. Now you just rest, I will keep this fire going.

Kesiah smiles at Kai, warming her hands by the flames.

Kesiah: Are you hungry?
Kai: Yes, I am. I have had nothing to eat for two weeks.

Kesiah is surprised and looks at Kai with a worried face.

Kesiah: Are you okay?
Kai: Yes I'm fine. Just slightly hungry. I need not eat much.

Kesiah laughs at Kai's statement.

Kesiah: Slightly? After two weeks? Kai, you are truly amazing.
Kai: Heh...amazing as it may seem I tell no lie. but please if you, are hungry, do eat. I don't need anything.

Kesiah reaches for her stuff and unpacks some Spooce and Scrab meat. Kai sits down and watches her.

Kesiah: Are you sure you dont want any?

Kai smiles and walks to Kes then sits next to her.

Kai: Perhaps some would be nice.

Kesiah passes Kai some Spooce and Scrab meat, reluctantly and releaved that Kai will eat.

Kai: Mmmm....this taste better then the kind I make.

Kesiah eats her's while watching Kai. Kai turns to the cave walls and stares at it. Kai places his hand on the walls and passes it across.....The walls light up with beautiful designs. Kai lowers his head and looks at Kesiah.

Kai: Soon...my powers will be gone. I want you to see it all before I get it up......for you.

Kesiah gasps at the patterns, as they change and move by themselves.

Kesiah: Kai.......Are you sure you want to lose this?

Re-reading this story brings back a lot of memories, I might even start crying again. *sniff*
I like the way you re-wrote some parts Kai.

The question had been in Kai's head for some time now. Should he really give it up for love....was it worth it?

Kai: I love you....there is no question.

Kesiah moves closer to him in happyness. Kai looks out toward the end of the cave and lights the area up with a dim moonshine. Kesiah places her hand on the still moving designs, watching it react to her touch.

Kesiah: It's beautiful
Kai: Yes it is....but not as much as you.

Kesiah blushes.

Kesiah: I don't know what I would be without you.
Kai: I know what I would be...alone...and living forever..without you. I rather spend a day with you...then a eternity alone.
Kesiah: I could not bare to leave you, please dont go.
Kai: I wont. I will stay right here with you...all through my days.

Kesiah picks up Kai's cloak and wraps it around them both. Kesiah slowly drifts off to sleep. Kai holds her gently. He takes his cloak off and wraps it around Kes.

Kai: You need it more then I.

Kai leans over and kisses her on her forehead.

Kai: Good night Kes.

Kesiah stirs a little.

Kesiah: Kai.....

She then falls asleep. Kai stands up and looks outside the cave. The desert is quiet. The moon lights up the place as if it was day light. Kai walks back into the cave. He goes to his designs and creates more, with a sad look upon his face as if it were his last.

Kai: This will be all gone in due time.

Kai dims the fire. he makes a beautiful design of two Mudokons walking alone through a desert, holding each other safely. He forces the image into the rock, carving it upon the stone. Kesiah wakes and sees Kai.

Kai: This will be a marking to remember me and my journey.

Kai knows that Kes is up but he does not look at her. Kesiah looks at the carving and smiles.

Kai: Love...tell me. Will you stay with me....until the end?

Kai turns to face her.

Kesiah: Yes, love. Always, I never want to leave you.
Kai: Then nor will I.

Kai puts out the fire and snuggles up next to Kes.

Kai: Let us sleep now. We have a long journey ahead.

Kesiah wiggles in closer to him and closes her eyes. Kai closes his eyes and sends his mind out to see what is happening to Oddworld. Kesiah dreams of things to come. Kai sees many things...war....and death. he brings himself back and finally goes to sleep.

[Kaimana]

Kai is awoken by the morning air, he opens his eyes and sits up. The morning seemed so fresh that the air was sweet. Kai stands up and goes to make a fire for cooking. Kesiah wakes when Kai moves away. She yawns and stretches out. She looks at Kai with a smile.

Kai: I have not the slightest of what to make for breakfast.

Kesiah gets up and looks around the cave, scanning for food.

Kesiah: There could be some Spooce around here somewhere.

Kai: Hmm...Well if there is any Spooce I will find it. Wait here.

He walks out of the cave. The desert is wet with a night of rain. The sky has no clouds and beside the cave rocks are spooce growing. Kai gathers some and walks back into the cave.

Kai: More then enough I say.

Kesiah walks back up to Kai and picks up some Spooce.

Kesiah: Will you eat some?
Kai: Yes, yes I will. But you may have as much as you want first.
Kesiah: I dont want to leave you hungry.
Kai: No it's fine. Please if you want some, have some, if you want all have all. I don't care, as long as you are fine.

Kesiah smiles at Kai. As much as they felt love for each other, the grueling fact that Kai, may die for love, loomed over them both like a crow hungry for flesh. Kai would always remember that smile, until the very end. Kesiah eats her Spooce.

Kesiah: if you're certain.

Kai walks outside the cave carrying his tomahawk. He practices basic defense and offense skills. Kesiah sits down in the cave and watches him. She divides some Spooce and leaves it for Kai. Out in a distance Kai notices a figure moving in a exhausted manner. Kai runs up to it. Kesiah sees Kai and runs out of the cave to follow him.

Kai: What is this? A Slig?

Kesiah stops next to Kai and looks at the Slig.

Kesiah: How did he get out here?
Jack: My...My names Ja....Jack. I was lost after Soulstorm Brewery was destroyed. I was attempting to escape, but it blew.
Kai: Interesting. You seek not to hurt us?
Jack: No I would'nt do anything to you.
Kai: We are heading to Necrum.
Kesiah: Yes.

She leans over and whispers to Kai.

Kesiah: Are you sure he's safe to be with?

Kai stares at the slig. He speaks to Kes telepathicaly for the first time. She is surprised at first then relaxes.

Kai: Yes. I see no need to worry.
Jack: What are you guys stareing at me like that for?

Kesiah looks at Kai, she nods.

Kai: Jack where are you heading?
Jack: I really dont care where I go anymore.
Kai: In that case you will come with us to Necrum.
Sligster: Why thank you.

Kesiah runs back in the cave to grab her and Kai's stuff. She gathers the Spooce and grabs Kai's cloak.

Kai: Come Kes, we have a long way to go.

Kai grabs his stuff from her and begins to walk. They hold eachother as they walk through the heat of the desert. Kes takes Kai's hand.

Kesiah: And we will go together love.
Kai: Come Jack, I hope the heat does'nt kill you.

The three walk until Kai sees something in the distance. He stops and looks ahead. The heat disfigures the creature.

Jack: What's wrong Kai? Is there something ahead?
Kai: Yes.
Kesiah: Can you pick what it is?
Kai: Yes. it's a Scrab. Only one, this is bad.
Kesiah: Do you think it will attack?

Kesiah watches Kai, and holds on to his hand.

Kai: Well, not if I can talk to it.
Kesiah: Talk to it? How?
Kai: Stay here.

Kai drops his stuff and gets the Scrabs attention.

Kesiah watches nervously. Jack arms himself and keeps his rifle on the Scrab. Kai walks up to the beast quietly and slowly. The Scarbs body faces Kai as it yells out a loud screech. Kai puts his hand out in front of him, and slowly reaches for the creatures snout. Kesiah watches in growing horror. Kai puts his hand gently on the creature, and clams it. The Scrab relaxes. Kai closes his eyes, and speaks to the beast. After what seemed to be awhile, Kai lets go of the creature. The Scrab nudges Kai gently.

Kesiah: Jack, Jack it's okay, you can put down your weapon, Kai's got everything under control see?
Jack: Wow.....

Kai stares at the Scrab, it turns around and trots away. Kai walks back to Kes and takes her hand.

Kai: It's okay let's go.
Kesiah: Are you alright?
Kai: Yes, i'm fine.

Technially, you can't be in it, as Kai, Sligster and I role played the story last week. So it's already been written, Kai's just adjusting it.
Sligster was playing Jack, as he joined and changed his name, so that's who Jack was played by.

Jack watches, confused, as the Scrab walks off into the desert.

Jack: What just happened?

Kesiah hugs Kai, glad that he is safe.

Kaimana: mmm.... The Scrab was a little afraid of us.
Jack: Wuss.
Kaimana: I simply told it we would not hurt him and he left on his way.
Kesiah: Come on, lets keep going.
Kaimana: Yes.
Jack: I could have taken it head on!

Kaimana continues walking in the direction of Necrum.

Jack: See!
Kaimana: No my friend, I have learned not to kill.
Jack: gggrrrrr......

Jack puts his machine gun away.

Kesiah: If we killed everything that got in our path, we would be no better than the Magog Cartel.
Jack: Fine, but if we're in a life or death situation,
Jack: I'll blow 'em all to hell

Kesiah shakes her head, turns and follows Kai. The three walked for some time, before Kai stopped and pointed ahead.

Kaimana: Okay, there it is.
Jack: Necrum?
Kaimana: Yes.

Kesiah looks around at the eerily silent forest. Kaimana walks into it with his head down, Kesiah following with her head bowed as well. Jack just walks in.
Kaimana stirrs, hearing the voices of many that have been buried here. Kesiah notices that Kai seems to be listening to something, but she can't make out what. Suddenly, Kaimana is jerks to a stop.

Kaimana: What! He's not here!
Jack: What?
Kesiah: Kai? What's wrong?
Kaimana: Abe....Abe is not here.
Jack: He blew my work place to smithereens!

Kaimana listens to more.

Kesiah: Are you sure he was supposed to be here? Not somewhere else?
Kaimana: I swear he was supposed to be here.
Jack: Maybe he already left?
Kaimana: We have to go to....... so that's were he is.
Kesiah: I think something's wrong, is Abe's village near here?
Kaimana: No, He's at the Raisin's.
Jack: * mumbles to self * He's gonna kill me, I just know it.
Kaimana: We have to go to the Elderling's cave, and fast.
Jack: Elderling?
Kesiah: Well lets get started.

Kesiah takes Kai's hand. She knows they haven't got that much time together, and so she wants to spend it with Kai.

Kaimana: I know a way we can get there faster.
Kesiah: How?
Jack: I can dig there.
Kaimana: It will take some magic, but I am not going to have it soon.

Kaimana concentrates his energy and opens a bird portal.

Kaimana: Let's hop in.
Jack: WHAT THE HELL!!!!!!

Kesiah jumps through, unafraid.

Kesiah: See you on the other side, love.
Kaimana: Come Slig..... I mean, Jack.

Kaimana steps through the open portal.

Jack: uuummmm.... I don't think that the spirits would approve.....
Kaimana: Just hurry.
Jack: 'k.

Jack walks into bird portal. Kaimana comes out, looking around for Kesiah.

Kaimana: Kes! Ah, there you are.
Kesiah: Kai!

Jack comes out of the portal, rubbing his arms.

Jack: uuuggg.... it stings...

Kesiah runs over and hugs Kai, happy to see him again.

Kaimana: We need only walk through these gates.

Kesiah looks at the gates, they tower above her, daunting and forbidding.

Kaimana: Let us go now.

Kaimana opens the gates and walks into the Elderling's lair. Jack follows behind, hand on his gun, just in case. Kesiah follows Kai through the gates and stares up at the huge form of the Elderling.
Kaimana sits down and meditates near the base of the Raisin, while Kesiah and Jack watch in trouble silence.

Kaimana: hmm
Kaimana: Yes.
Jack: What is that!
Kaimana: I understand.
Kaimana: .....
Kesiah: shhh! It's the Almighty Raisin.
Kaimana: No.
Kaimana: I can't let it be.
Kaimana: It's my choice and you know that.

Kesiah watches Kai with concern. While Jack polishes gun out of bordem.

Kaimana: I'm sorry Raisin but it is my choice.
Kaimana: Thank you.
Kaimana: I will meet him shortly.
Kesiah: ....kai?...
Jack: dude?
Kaimana: Yes, I will meet him on the front line.

Kaimana opens his eyes and stands up. Kesiah and Jack watch him.

Jack: What happened?

Kesiah touches Kai's shoulder, concerned for him.

Kaimana: We must go to the borders of Mudos and meet Abe and the others on the battle front.

Nice Kes, I love how you edited some parts. This story was a real nice one when we RPed it. And it still has that same feel.

Kaimana, Jack and Kesiah stand before the Almighty Raisin. They must now journey towards the battle front, where they will meet Abe.

Jack: I don't understand these native rituals.
Kesiah: Battle front! Has it come to that?
Kaimana: Yes. I am ready to give up my strength
Jack: Alright! Battle!
Kaimana: I'm going into the battle...a mortal.

Kesiah blinks away some tears. Kaimana walks up to her.

Kaimana: Don't cry. It will all be fine you'll see.
Kesiah: I don't want to lose you....

Kaimana takes at tear from her eye and turns it into a rose

Kaimana: No need to worry, You wont lose me. Let's go now.

Kesiah smiles at him. Kaimana walks out of the cave, Kesiah runs after him, and takes his hand. Kaimana smiles at her. Jack follows the pair.

Kesiah: Does Abe have enough assistance to fight the Magog Cartel?
Kaimana: No.
Jack: He will once we arrive! * takes out gun *
Kaimana: Only about 500 warriors strong. We are not too powerful.
Jack: 500? This baby will raise it to 800!
Kesiah: What can we gain through this battle?
Kaimana: Peace.
Jack: Scars.
Kesiah: Peace. It will take some getting used to for some of us.
Kaimana: I know. I may not be around to see that.
Kesiah: Don't say that.
Jack: What about me!

Kaimana smiles at him

Kaimana: You my friend, I hope you live a long good life.
Kesiah: Most of our enemies will be Sligs. Are you sure you're ready to fight them?
Jack: Yes, Skilla sucks, so do they.
Kaimana: As far as I am concerned, It's me, my wits and my tomahawk. Nothing more nothing less.

They walk on for a few moments in silence.

Kaimana: This journey will take two days.
Jack: Two days!
Kaimana: I will have enough time to....pass myself and my powers to another.
Jack: What?
Kaimana: ....nothing.
Jack: Muds are strange....
Kaimana: Anyway, let's move on.

Kesiah smiles sadly, and leans against Kai's arm. Kaimana looks away and tries not to cry.

Kesiah: I wish I could fight with you.
Kaimana: No. You have a more important job.
Kesiah: Please don't cry.
Kaimana: No, it's okay.

Kaimana keeps his comments to himself.

Jack: Let me see that tomahawk.
Kaimana: Sure.

Kaimana grabs it out.

Kaimana: Here.
Jack: hhhmmmmm............ a little weak.........

Jack grabs his tools.
Kaimana: Let the bodies left on the ground determine that.
Jack: Lets see, first we'll need this for medium range.
Kaimana: Don't touch it. Leave it be.

Kesiah watches in surprise.

Jack: .....and this for long range....

Kaimana grabs it back.

Kaimana: Jack...this is a Muds' weapon.
Jack: Come on!
Kaimana: I need not have what the Magog Cartel has.
Jack: I can fix it after the battle.
Kaimana: You may keep it after the battle.
Kesiah: .....after the battle....

Kaimana looks away again and keeps walking. Kesiah tries to distract herself by looking at the different birds flying overhead.

Kaimana: Ah, beautiful are they not?

Jack puts tools away.

Kesiah: Yes.....very...
Kaimana: So free, Living the life they chose, Not the ones fate puts them in.
Kesiah: Sometimes I wish I could be like them, flying overhead, free as the wind...
Jack: I was demoted from flying Slig, cheap Brewmaster.
Kaimana: ...don't we all, love. *Kai holds her tight* Don't we all.

Kaiman glaces at Jack following them.

Kaimana: hmm, I heard he was a mean one.

Kesiah snuggles in.

Kesiah: mmmmm....
Kaimana: Well it will take sometime now. I think we should rest soon. I say we go to the woods and build camp.
Kesiah: As you wish, love.

Kaimana walks into the woods and lays down his stuff

Kaimana: Right..we make camp here.
Jack: I'll go get food * pulls out gun and activates sniper attachment *
Kaimana: hmm

Kesiah collects some Spooce for herself and Kai.

Kaimana: Kes..you can make the fire.
Jack: I ain't eating that stuff.
Kaimana: I don't want to use my powers anymore, I want to give it up..and give it up soon.
Jack: So?

Kesiah works at lighting a fire, and keeping an eye on Kai

Jack: Can I at least go get a Fleech?
Kesiah: I think I have some Scrab meat Jake, you can have that if you want.
Jack: No thanks, I prefer fresh....

Jack goes into woods. Kaimana builds a small shelter for himself and Kesiah. A gunshot is heard not to far away. Kaimana and Kesiah look up, then continue on with their work. Kaimana uses his cloak to drape the shelter. Once this is done, they sit down beside the fire. Kesiah gives Kai some Spooce that she found. Jack comes back with huge Scrab.

Kaimana: Thank you.
Kesiah: *motions towards the Spooce* Please eat it.
Kaimana: I will love. Jack, do you have the tools to make your shelter?
Jack: Yeah, sure.
Kaimana: Good.

Kesiah hugs Kai.

Jack: mmmmmm........ this is good Scrab!
Kaimana: Kes, I plan to give up my immortality soon. I need not hold to it anymore...just to you.

Jack takes out tools and builds shelter
Kesiah smiles up at Kai.

Kaimana: For the first time will I secure myself through another and live on in a different body.
Kesiah: What would you have me do?
Kaimana: Nothing more then love me.
Jack: Yeah, that should do it! * shows shelter with multiple rooms and sealed on all sides except for the door * See ya! * goes into shelter *
Kesiah: I do love you.
Kaimana: I know that. And I love you as well.
Jack: * opens door * You sure you don't wanna come in here? My pants act as a heater.
Kaimana: heh, I assure you there is no need.

Kesiah leans into Kai. Kaimana lights a small fire on the dirt

Jack: Suit yourself! * slams door *
Kaimana: That will be the last I use my powers, Now all I want is to love you.
Kesiah: I wish there were another way.... that we could be together.
Kaimana: What are you saying?
Kesiah: I only wish that you did not have to go....
Kaimana: .....so do I.

Kaimana holds her and cries.

Kaimana: I never want to leave but it will be hard.

Kesiah wipes away his tears.

Kaimana: I love you and this is what I get for it.

A sawing sound is heard coming from Jack's shelter.

Kesiah: Don't cry, love, don't cry.... I'm here now, and that's what matters.
Kaimana: We will have a child...he will be me in another self. He will be better then me and you will love him and care for him. If that is done...all my time here would have been spent the right way.

Kesiah touches Kai's face.

Kaimana: I love you.

Kaimana hugs her again

Kesiah: I love you too..

Kesiah sighs and hugs back

Kesiah: I feel sad and happy all at once....

Kaimana: The night seemed so long as I looked back at my life, all I had ever lived with was gone that night. My strengths were surpassed and my love was ever strong. I woke up to the arms of the only person I would ever love and we cried over what had happened and what will happen to me.

Kaimana woke up as the sunlight streamed through the window of the shelter. Outside, he's Jack open the door to his shelter and leave it, wearing some sort of strange wooden armor.

Kaimana: Kes, Kes, are you up?

Kesiah wakes, looking up at Kai and smiling.

Kesiah: Kai?

Kaimana kisses her. Kesiah smiles at Kai.

Jack: You guys up? I was working on this armor all night!
Kesiah: Did you sleep well, love?
Kaimana: Yes I did. Too well....As I never slept before.
Jack: I even made some for you two!

Kaimana walks outside.

Kaimana: Did you? Why, thank you.

Jack hands Kai armor and shield. Kesiah walks outside and smiles sadly when she sees the armor.

Kaimana: This will help me on .......lets just go.

Kaimana leaves all his belongings inside the shelter.

Jack: This should protect you for about an hour.
Kaimana: Thank you my friend... Jack, I will ask you not come with me.
Kesiah: Kai....You're things....

Kaimana looks at her.

Kaimana: No, You keep them, Hold them close to you.
Kaimana: Jack, you are to stay here and watch over Kes. Promise me you will do this.

Kesiah begins to cry, realising what is happening.

Kaimana: Promise me Jack, Watch after her.
Kesiah: Kai! Not now, please?
Kaimana: She means more to me then life itself.

Kaimana walks up to her and hold her

Jack: I wanna go and fight!
Kaimana: No. Stay here.
Jack: Why?
Kaimana: She needs protecting, She bares a important thing with her.

Kesiah cries into Kai's shoulder

Jack: Fine.
Kaimana: If she gets hurt I will die....forever. She must live. You must live love.

Jack hands Kes armor with shield

Jack: Those Sligs will send search parties.
Kaimana: Stay here I will send shamans to come help you with our child, I must leave you
Kesiah: Please....be careful...
Kaimana: I love you.....so much.

Kaimana turns around and doesn't look back as he walks to the battle.

Jack: Whoa, child!?!

Kesiah cries silently, tears running down her face

Jack: Okay...

Kaimana keeps his face down with tears full on his face, he runs off and never looks back
Kesiah watches him go, then turns to Jack

Jack: What?
Kesiah: He's.....gone...
