Fears for the future...RAR!! Hah, bet that scared ya...!!

Right. So...

(1) - I am immensly bored.
(2) - I am slowly dying of that boredom...!!

So, what are your fears for the future. I shall tell you mine, and its not like some of them i will probably get saying 'Alien Invasion' , 'Meteors' , 'God breaking wind' etc etc.

Mine is, Paedophiles being excepted into society. Now, i fear this cos 10-20 years ago, homosexuals were the main sexuality to be looked down upon, dispised, spat on etc. etc. Nobody ever thought that homosexuals would ever be excepted into society as what they were doing was such a big taboo. So, the fear is that times will change and the same thing will happen with Paedo's. I can imagine my kids saying to me;

"But its a illness, they cant help it. How would you like to be in their shoes?"

And suddenly me taking on the role of my family saying how they shouldn't be excepted etc. God...if that happens im just going to shoot myself...

Oh, and also, what are your hopes for the future?

Paedophiles will never be accepted into society, and I'm baffled by your comparison to homosexuality. While paedophilia is an illness, that doesn't make it an excuse for harming other people. Homosexuality involves two consenting adults, whereas paedophilia involves a forceful adult and a powerless child. Human rights are a big issue now and they're becoming bigger and bigger; the right a paedophile has to sexual fulfillment comes no where near the right for a child to live free from sexual molestation.

My biggest fear for the world is nuclear war, but I doubt it will happen any time soon. I'm resting easy.

By the way Jacob, your signature is too long.

Oh no they have been accepted into society, they just can to get over how proud they are to be gay, being gay becomes a way of life to them, this is shown by the way they act, dress, the way they treat men and women so differently, they make it a mission to let everyone around them know they are gay, big deal!

Urm. Not all homosexuals are like that, you know...

My fears for the future:
- Finding a snail in my bed.
- Being eaten alive by a swarm of loucsts.
- Finding a brain in a jar in my loft.
- That the world will run out of Geo-Mod.

Well, like the article that Syd posted, America is slowly going "1984". Seriously. There has never been a time when a lack of patriotism is a threat. Well, there is now. Anti-patiotism is suspicious, and many people have had there living spaces checked by the FBI. Also, we are being lead to believe in our "all-powerful leader", who is currently on another one-month vacation. I don't want my children and grandchildren growing up in a world where America is fighting an unseen enemy (Iraq, terrorist groups, etc). We've been lead to believe that our government is handling things well, but Bush's little Iraq fetish is just taking us a step closer to "1984".

My hopes for the future are as follows:
1. Get a unique job in art.
2. Settle down with a girl I truely love.
3. A sensible government.

Or am I asking too much?

Comparison is simple. From what i've heard not alot was known about Paedo's in the 50's-80's. But homosexuals were basically like paedo's today...despised. The main reason i am worried is because the Government seems to be doing f*ck all to handle the issue. The maximum years a paed can get is 3 last time i checked. I think the death sentence should come back in the UK, whose sodding idea was it to get rid of that!?

And Surfacing i seemed to have totally missed the point of your first post...

Yes. But as George Michael pointed out, if Iraq etc was going to attack they would attack Britain to point out that they were serious etc. As Britain is the Dog...Woof...Woof-woof-woof.

I see straight men boasting about their sexual conquests every day, much moreso than my gay acquaintances. I don't know where you live, Surfacing, but straight men flaunt there sexuality every day in my area. Where are you getting your information from; do you actually know any gay people? Maybe your schoolyard mentality will subside when you venture out into the world and find that it doesn't match your preconceptions.

Yes.

Just kidding. But gay pride parades aren't representative of all gay people, and are once a year events. They're less about pride and more about bringing light upon political concerns. Gays are hardly claiming sexual superiority, as Surfacing seems to suggest. That's like saying a march of African-Americans demanding equality are actually claiming they're superior to whites.

Have you been watching the X-rated version of '6th sense?' i was going to make up a title then...but i dont know if id get banned.

Title = '69th sense' or 'Dickth sense'

And gays dont need to boast about their superiority. People know that they're superior. Gays are more likely to be un-prejudiced, un-discrimitive and un-sexist etc. In my eyes anyone who is the opposite to them is far below me and inferior.

Loup, in what way is it not natural? I should point out here that homosexuality has been observed in almost all mammals, as well as in several birds, reptiles, amphibians, and fish.

I think your area is the unusual one. Where do you live again?

The Paedophiles issue worries me. If you're correct, and it is an incurable illness, then rehabilitation in impossible. However, for the same reasons, punishment is unfair, as they have no choice about how they are. But you can't let them roam the streets, endangering children. Can't imprison them, can't execute them, can't reform them, can't release them. What can you do?

I don't think so. You must live in fairy land. Heheh.

How many gay people do you know, Surfacing? Televised people featured in the gay and lesbian mardi gras don't count.

Punishment is fair, because only those paedophiles who act on their desires are the ones who are punished. God knows how many people out there are turned on by little children but never act on their impulses. I guess the only system we have available is to deal with them after they've committed the crime.

I agree with Sydney, but then we have to define 'acting on impulse' i personally find distributing and consuming child porn a punishable offense aswell. Also, the fact that Paedo's can lure children via the internet is also a big risk and should be looked into. I think they should be imprisoned for life or at least killed off. As in some cases when paed's are imprisoned they exchange stories with each other and get their release from that...c*nts.
