Airblade

Has anyone here heard of Airblade? Think of Tony Hawks Pro Skater but instead of being on a skateboard you're on a hoverboard. Its from the makers of Trickstyle (Dreamcast game) and the story goes something like this......

The year is 2015. Mega corporations are currentley in the process of making Hoverboards or to be more precise, technolgy using a hoverboard-like system.. However, 1 renegade scientist has knicked a prototype of the hover board, called the airblade. This is because after Oscar renton, the scientist guy, has dedicated his life to making a hoverboard and seeing that he's about to be overtaken by the multi-million pound corporation GCP, he makes a break for it with 1 of there boards. Now, the people he stole from aren't to happy and before he's shut up by corporation goons, the scientist gives you the airblade and so the story unfolds......

Okay, so it might not be the greatest plot ever but since when did THPS have a award-winning story line. The game is really imersive, with a living breathing city to muck around in. For example, cars can be grabbed on to to give you a speed boost. Even though it is quite simalar to THPS, it is more of a adventure game then a trick-pulling game. The charactor you play is called Ethan. Working with him is a friend of Oscars, a computer hacker called Kat. levels may start off simple but midway through you may get a call from Kat on your mobile phone, telling you that either things have changed or theres more stuff to do.

The game pits you against the might of mega corporations. The first thing to do is to lose your tale, this involves destoying 'wanted' bill-boards and survelene camaras, injuring GCP agents and destroying GCP tracking units, ranging from vans to helecopters. The storymode has 8 city levels, 1 training, 6 main and 1 bonus. There's also ton's of secret 'gaps' to find and a mutitude od single and mutiplayer modes. Lastly, anyone who has seen the game running must admit that it runs smoother, faster and looks a lot sharper and diverse then over skating games. Unfortunatly, I cannot give you a lot of info at this time. I'll try to add a lot more in a few hours.

I'm really looking forward to AirBlade. I've been reading the previews and watching the demo videos on OPS2M since they started their coverage of it.
