what music do you listen to?

Well I would have to say I listen to rock. Like Led Zeplon and a lot of the 60 and 70's bands like Jimi Hendriks, Janus Joplyn, Pink Floyde, Rolling Stones, and the Beatles, and lastly the Doors. What kind of music do you like or bands you listen to?

Cradle Of Filth
Static-X
SOAD
Switched
Full System Purge

Just about anything really.

I listen to Rap to Rock
Techno to Classical
Foke to R&B
Heavy Metal to Trance

I just don't like the extremes of a music's taste. eg Death Metal

I'm confused... is this meant to be a music genres post or yet another "what bands do you listen to post". Anyway... here it goes.

I like mostly rock, metal and alternative music. But sometimes I have a broad tast of music. If a song sounds like one I like and it is a different genre, then so be it.

But my favorite kind of music is that of Final Fantasy... which combines classical with many other different instrumental styles (there was even a heavy metal track on the FFX soundtrack!).

Does anybody listen to songs created by formal dead Beatles John Lennon, and George Harrison? My favorite songs written by Lennon is Imagine and Working Class Hero and Happy Xmas (War Is Over), Give Peace A Chance, Jealous Guy and lastly Watching the wheels go round. My favorite songs of George Harrison are Beware Of Darkness, and Something. I think back then songs were truely the best ever made in the history of Rock n roll.

Yes, I listen to Wings, George Harrison and the Plastic Ono Band.
My favourite songs by Harrison have to be My Sweet Lord and What Is Life.
I love the Venus & Mars album by Paul McC and Wings. Problem is, I only have it on vinyl, and I can't listen to it because I broke the drive belt on my dad's turntable while trying to do DJ scratches with it! Band On The Run comes second for favourite album, although Live and Let Die is one of my favourite songs.

As for Lennon and Ono, I have nearly all of their albums. Working Class Hero's a great song, I agree. The subdued and simple guitar makes it even more effective than David Bowie and Tin Machine's thrashing rock version.
My fave Lennon albums are Walls and Bridges and Shaved Fish. Merry Xmas (War Is Over) is one of the best Christmas songs ever; I cry whenever I hear it!

Yea those other versions of those songs don't sound to good I think. I mean I heard Merry Xmas all throughout the Holidays and none of the times I herd it was the original by Lennon. It's somebody else singing it. So I get my Lennon CD and listin to that instead. Jealous Guy makes me a little sad because it makes me think of Lennons death. I was born one year after he was killed. Out of all the artists who died over the years Lennon is the one I wish could come back. I have Mind Games and Lennon legond which is a bunch of his songs taken from his albums and put into one CD and George Harrison I have the Album All things Must Pass and the Best Of George Harrison plus Wings Greatest Hits and many others.

Steve! I didn't know youplayed in orchestras!!
Well, i'm sort of a self-renowned musician, so i don't listen to the mainsteam entertainment (God forbid britney spears' songs were ever to be called MUSIC...). Mostly songs w/ melodies, not rap, or melodious chanting or screaming. Like Alector, i think Tubular Bells is really cool, and i particularly like Daft Punk. Those guys are actual musicians (no offense, Blink 182 fans!). I also like SOME classical, but eventually all of it just sorta blends together...

Better? Good. Your completely right about Blink 182. They were great! But then TRL and Carson came along and ruined the whole thing. I don't see how they can keep saying that they are punk. Now I see the spunky kids of Sum 41 coming along and doing the same thing... at least MxPx still has their dignity. I can proudly say they wont sell out.

Oh, and Disgruntled... don't be calling Punk crap. It really is, but we don't refer to it as crap around me. Capiche? It makes me sad . And if your moving on to new stuff, don't bother saying "I was raised punk." I'm not being purist or anything, (I listen to various musical genres) it's just this topic is about music you listen to. Not stuff that you used to listen to and think it's crap now.
