Dreams

This thread is about the dreams we have, in particular, your favourite dream. I've been having a recurring dream lately.

It starts with the colour blue, smooth blue with a very gentle, creamy texture. As things come into focus, it's actually the planet Neptune. I see whisps of white cloud circling the blue planet, quite quickly, but ever so smoothly. All is silent and there's an overwhelming sense of peace and calmness. Words can't justify the beauty of my vision.

Hmm... Well sounds to me your a really carm person when you go to sleep (Even in life). I can't stop thinking, takes me about 2 hours to fall alseep, i think that plays a big part of a dream. But you do enjoy this dream right? So does it really matter if it keeps recurring? It probebly keeps recurring cause you must like it alot. I usually don't have fantasy dreams like your's Sid,my dreams are are a little more relistic, i mean last thing i had dreamt was going to Chicago (Of all places) And I meet Ozzy ( I watched the Osbournes the night before) But it all ended when my stupid alarm clock went off!

That show is hysterical. Every second word is f*ck and the kids are spoilt brats. And it's real!

Anyway, not all of my dreams are calm. One dream I've had a couple of times is like grainy footage of a footballer being dropped head-first from a considerable height onto astro-turf. His head gets crushed, dark red blood, gristle and gore is the result. Another unpleasant dream I have is being led off to see the dragon, who eats me and I drown in a black, tar-like substance.

Have you ever had a dream that when you wake up you totally forget what it was about and you love that dream a lot but now you forgot what it was about? So you try to go back to sleep to see if you can pick up where you left off in your dream. But you can't.

Mann I hate that especally when you are enjoying your dream.

1. Would that be a propper (the original version), Rugby, American or Australian (they have their own version, right?) footballer?

2. Stop invading Sydney's dreams, Rachel and Emily!

There are many explanations for dreams. It is possible that there are two parallel dimensions in which holds the key. It is possible that in this other dimension you make the exact opposite decisions as you yould make in this life. thus each time a path is chosen, a line so to say is born and when these paths/lines cross it seems like the event in your life has happened before. This can have a direct relation with your dream, or can relate to what your dream is about.....

I keep on having this dream about a girl at my school. Great, now she's all I think about while awake and asleep. What's even more sad is that I don't even know her name, either. Your average weak male, right here.

This dream is real, so don't laugh!

Me and my sister go down to my basement door at midnight and open it. We see Yoda standing 7ft. tall; he's wearing a red sweater and blue jeans. He chases me up the stairs while my sister hides under them. I run down a our long hall to a light on in my parent's room... but its too late, Yoda catches me and I wake up in a cold sweat.

This dream kept occuring for a year!!

My dreams rarely recur. My dreams generally just involves me and my friends or people I have met, in places that I have known at some point in my life (although the times may be jumbled). Then some weird shit goes down, then I wake up.

The only dream I ever remember recurring was a bizarre semi-nightmare I used to get when I was younger. In the dream, I'm an odd kid with normal hair, and I live in a house that is wooden-panelled all over. My cousin comes over to stay, and I'm telling her all about weird and nasty things that have happened to me, then I say "And... Look at my goldfish!", and I hold up a wooden plaque with a goldfish mounted on it with a brass plaque. Then my cousin grows in size, and tentacles and things grow out of her face, and she shouts in a hoarse voice "Yes, your goldfish deserved it!".

Then I wake up.

I can only remeber 3 dreams... One I was like on a pyrimad float that was all different colors and a bunch of confetti... That like all I can remeber though, it was when I was like 8 I think, somewhere around there. Then there was one where I was like on vacation in a woods place. And I kept hitching rides with all my school frieds families. And like I stayed in a cabin with my friend. And I went in a haunted house, but it was like really tall and it was like a wooden maze. And we all kept screaming for fun. My last one, was, stupid and scared the shit outta me when I was young. My living room was like a jungle place and there was like a round pool with a bunch of leaves in it. And Swamp Thing was talking to me I think. And darn, that was scary to me, maybe thats why I still remember it...

And Mjoman, thats why we don't watch excessive Star Wars

Rugby, I believe. Or it could have been AFL... I'm not exactly a football fan, but I know it wasn't the American style with all the padding and helmets.

Actually I never saw Star Wars or even knew who or what Yoda was at the time (I was only about 5) My dad had a yoda mask, I was so scared of it I began to have the nightmares.

The only dream I thought was stupid is:I was at a apple tree.
The dream that scared me a bit was that I stole an xbox and the cops tried to get me and I hid in a strangers house and I called my dad to drive me out of town but the cops found me

Um... Well one time I had a dream and everybody at my school was on a soccer field throwing olives at each other... I ate some.

In another wierd dream I had I was golfing with my family and everything was black and white (like an old movie) except for our gremlin slave who was yellow. When we got home we went swimming in our pool (we don't have one in real life) and the gremlin made a monster that ate my family.
The End

&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspSydney, you already know that I interpret dreams. Your dreams say one thing plain and simple: You can find the harmonious peaceful feeling without the use of and kind of drug.

Blue Neptune: Represents calmess and peace, as you are feeling.

Black Tar and Dragon: Dragon represents a negative trait. Black tar... think cigarettes and/or marijuana. (ie drowning in tar.) It's "eating" you up.

Dreams sometimes generalize. And repeating dreams are made for you to TAKE NOTICE, so you're being told over and over.

Dreams are sometimes strange in a sense, that they almost completely resemble, our own world, but things that would never happen take place. Thats what I don't like about them, is when you can't control them.

While I agree with your take on the blue planet, I've been having the dragon/tar dream since long before I took up smoking tobacco and marijuana.

There are no proven explanations for dreams though, so you must make of them with your mind and what you thihk they mean because usuall this is true.........

I usually dream of things I've been thinking of during the day, to start with. Some schools of thought think that dreams are simply the brain's way of sorting through all the "chaff" you accumulate during the day and don't need to remember, but I wonder...

&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp That's okay. I never criticize people because I myself do not wish to be criticised. And based upon my beliefs, you're doing what you're meant to be doing in this lifetime anyway, so it doesn't matter!

&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp Oh, and regarding the dream: I base my interpretations upon simple logic and common archetypes. The only real way to interpret a dream is to do it yourself, and figure how it relates to your own life. So any external interpretation is not always accurate in any particular way.

Happy Yoda! Ahhhh!!

I too have had a nightmare about Yoda when I was little. He looked like he does in the movies and was chasing me through the swamp with his walking stick and trying to hit me.

I have never had a dream more than once. My dreams are almost always just random things. I will describe some of them for you. I had most of my memorable dreams when I was very young (4-7 years old).

(Age that I had this dream: approx. 5 years old)
One dream I had was in black and white, like an old movie. I was outside playing in my back yard. I looked up and see that my neighbors are bording up their doors. I then got a horrible fealing in the pit of my stomach and began to run to the glass door on the back of my house. As I reached the door, my little brother slams it shut in my face and locks it, smiling the whole time. Then after what seems like a long time, my mom opened it up. I run inside and my family begins to bord up all the doors and windows. Then my mom said to my dad, "Did you remember to lock the attic window?" And then suddenly these huge 10 feet tall lions start falling through the roof (flowing almost like water). Then I woke up.

(Age I had this dream: approx 10 years old)
I could fly. But not like you would expect. I could only fly in a straight line and for only a very limited time. It required immence consontration. I could only fly as high as I could jump, and so it kind of looked like I glided about a foot off the ground.

(Age I had this dream: approx 15)
I was out in this really spooky neighborhood. It was midnight, and very dark. It looked like the beginning of a horror movie. I was all alone. Then I thought, "Hey this just doesn't look right. This must be a dream. I am going to try to fly." Then I get a good running start...and......ARRRRR ARRRRRR (My alarm)

(Age: approx 6)
I was in a museum where they had the reconstructed bodies of Ice age creatures. I was with my dad and looking at all the cool animals. Then I randomly climb up a pole and jump towards a cage around a still living Wooly Mammoth. I bounce up and off of the cage and fly through the air. I cannot breath and try to scream. My dad is reading and lifts his hand up in a poor attempt to catch me and I go splat onto a wall.

(Age: approx 4-5)
In this dream, I dreamt I was 16 (the age I am now). I go into my room and there is this little white cat sitting beside my bed. I look at it and it seems like it is too small to be a real cat. I look at its eyes and they turn from green to firey red. The cat lifts its paws up and opens its claws. The claws are on fire. I then hear this huge booming evil freaky pyschic voice that says, "Now, you will die." It jumps at me but I dodge it at the last instant. I get onto my bed and for some reason I feel safe. The demonic cat then begins to torch my room with its claws. I cower on my bed and watch helplessly. Then the voice comes back and says, "You will not be safe there for long." Then I woke up.

(Age: approx 7)
In this dream I died and was in a dark weird looking afterlife. I call my parents on the phone (they are still alive) and tell them that I am fine. I have a house in this afterlife. That's all I remember.

(Age: approx. 5)
This dream is in a cartoonish style and no-one has a face. I am abducted by the walking brooms from Fantasia and am tortured with experiments. The next night they come again and I am able to escape from them. The next day, one of my friends and his parents come over to my house and eat breakfast. He tells me that the same thing happened to him.

(Age: Approx. 8)
I am out in front of a very busy highway. Then the "camera" of my perspective pulls out and I see myself in 3rd person. The "camera" pulls out further and these credits start coming up like it is a movie. It says in dripping style text, "Highway of Hell"
Then there is a rewind effect, as if I were watching a tape, and I am back in a 1st person perspective. I just barely survive crossing the street and go into a park. I walk over to a hill. At the top of the hill is a rabid, giant, evil yogi bear standing on a big ball with a star on it. He rides the ball down the hill chasing me. I run out into the highway and get hit by a car.

(Age: Approx 7)
This is another cartoon dream and it is in 3rd person, but is in 2d. I walk out to a lake and see the Loch ness monster. I then think that it must be a dream, because this wouldn't really happen to me in real life. Then I second guess myself and think that if I think that that is a possibility, that it must be real.

(Age: Approx 10)
In this dream I am a vampire in a jazz band (strange because I have never particularly liked music in general and have never wanted to be in a band or play an instrument at all). I don't actually hurt or kill people and I don't want anyone to know that I am really a vampire. I just want to be a normal guy in this dream. Then the ghostbusters show up to my concert and come up to me. They know I'm a vampire, and I know they know. But we never outright say it, until the end of the conversation. I tell them that I never hurt anybody and asked them to just leave me alone. They then kill me.

That's about all the dreams that I can think of right now and care to type. It's a shame that most of my more recent dreams are lost to my mind within a day of my having them. I know that I have had some good ones fairly recently, but I just cannot quite remember them. Oh well. I dream really random stuff and most of my dreams are either bad or nuetral.

Edit: I remembered another one

(Approx age: 13)
In this dream I was Gohan from Dragon ball Z, except I looked like my self and was my own age. Just for some reason I knew I was him and had his powers. I was in what appeared to be hell and was trapped with my (real) family and some of my friends. There was fire and spikes and blood everywhere, and we where all inside this rock formation that looked like a minotaur's head. There was an opening at the mouth that looked out onto an endless sea of fire and lava. I picked up two other people and began to fly out the mouth, but I was being pushed down by some unseen force into the lava. I was slowly loosing my strength and concentration. Then I woke up.
