So I'm sure my fellow geeks have been having nerdgasm after nerdgasm over the newsfeed on The Hobbit movie. Or maybe not, as we're all getting old and miserable.
Multiple images have been released, including a sloppily photoshopped
promotional picture of the dwarves.
So far, I'm pleased with the casting.
I'm also happy that Jackson took over for Del Toro. This is PJ's territory, and even though Del Toro surely would have brought some stunning visuals to the table, I think his direction would ultimately make the film inharmonious with PJ's vision of Middle Earth. And truthfully, I think Del Toro's character direction sucks balls.
They're splitting the film into two parts, as I'm sure you already know. The first of which is subtitled "An Unexpected Journey". A bit ballsy of them to take titular liberties, but it certainly sounds better than "Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows; Part 1".
The LOTR films were running alongside two other sagas; The Matrix and Harry Potter. I was one of the LOTR guys.
