Well, I've been on my X Box for 3 days straight and haven't shaved, been out of the house, or taken a shower (gross, huh?) And what do I have to show for being fuzzier than a fuzzle, lazier than Lulu, and smellier than a slig? Why, Angelic Quarma on MO, of course! So I decided to type a review and then attend to personal hygene... here we go:
Gameplay - 4 of 5
Frustration free gaming... very nice. I had few problems with controlling Abe and Munch. The only thing that bothered me was the jumping, which was at times hard to control. The camera was perfect for me. Everything that I needed to see, I could. Battles went smoothly for me and my buddies almost always responded to my commands.
Movies - 5 of 5
Absolutely stunning! Some of this stuff is better than feature films that I've seen! The FMVs use the full power of the X Box.
Graphics - 4 of 5
The graphics run smooth and clear with every envirement high in detail. The character graphics could use some touching up, but after all, no game is perfect.
Sound - 3 of 5
Now the sound was a real dissapointment. I suppose that I am to used to hearing the pounding tribal beats of AO/AE. And is it just me, or do the paramites sound like pigs? The thumping techno music and discussion between idle characters kept this category alive, though.
Story - 5 of 5
Simple and to the point. The frequent newspaper updates are a pleasent surprise. Corny slapstick lightens up the story.
Overall score - 9 of 10
One thing people need to realize is that this Oddysee belongs to
Munch, not Abe. It is different from the first games, and I had no problems with spooce. I wouldn't even mind if spooce was in ME. However, I couldn't get over the fact that the final level was so simple. I was expecting to have to work quicky, like in the first games. I was just as dissapointed as Abe was at the end.

I found myself asking "Thats it? It's over?" And, personally, I would of rather rescued Rats than fuzzles. I think it would of made more sense. But again this is
Munch's Oddysee. And for what it's worth, it combines the best elements of platform, puzzle, and strategy games. Munch may not please everyone, but for me, it's an oddventure.
Well, I spent all this time typing up an honest Munch review. The very least you could do is give me some feedback! Thanx.
