Any of you guys getting this? Its pretty much a mix of Diablo and a shooter. It plays like a shooter, but it has loot and level ups like Diablo. Comes out the 21st in the USA.

When I read about this game a year or so ago in GI, I thought it sounded fun. But if memory serves, there was a pretty big emphasis on vehicle customization, as well as racing. Of course, my memory rarely serves. So, am I mistaken, or, as usual, have things just...Changed?

I remember mention of that, but I haven't heard anything about vehicles recently. That, and I do not think there are any in the trailer. So, if they are there, the emphasis probably isn't as huge as you seem to remember. Probably.

And yeah I'm picking this shit up dawg

There are vehicles, but its not a huge emphasis on them. This is a loot whore game.

Based on that statement alone, I shall give it a whirl. Provided said loot changes the appearance of my character. When it doesn't, I really don't find myself very engaged.

I think the game looks interesting, but they seem to think that a FPS/RPG is original idea.

Its been done before yes, but poorly IMO. This takes the gameplay of a shooter with the leveling and loot of a RPG. Fallout 3 had mediocre shooting at best, if that is what you were referring to as a FPS/RPG.

Oh, it's a FPS. Meh, I'll leave it for a rental then. Fallout 3 had shitty combat period outside of V.A.T.S . And the looting sucked, too.

Sorry, Loot has nothing to do with how you look.
One can change the primary colors of your outfit at a "New You' station,
but that is pointless as you never see yourself during play. You spend your time looking over the muzzle of one of the 1.7 million firearms you can find in your roaming. Oh. you get a knife if you are the sniper and it ,for the most part, is useless by the time you get to level two.

oh god what a steaming turd.

it's like a really cheap and tacky mix between oddworld stranger and timesplitters. when you headshot someone, your character says "CRITICAL, BEYOTCH!"

I can`t help it, have played to level 15 and the thing reminds of Diablo,
with guns, and better music.
There is no real plot, just go kill this or or go kill that, loot all the crap you can carry, take it back and sell it for better crap, rinse ,repeat.

I have no history with Timesplitters, so can`t say one way or the other.

For the record I enjoyed the hell out of Fallout 3,still do. The add-ons are cool too, by the time you get to level 30 your a walking death sentence to anything
in the capital wasteland.

multiplayer is obviously where it's at. it's quite fun with buds. solo, however, is ass.

I played mostly solo, and I liked it just fine. Ending was fucking shit though, worse than Fallout 3's. I mean seriously, it fucking sucks Vault closes, you get no loot.

Its not as if the game as a huge story. And comparing spoiling a game to crushing the dreams of children is really stretching it.
