Web Comics

Does anyone know of any decent web comics? I normally read Penny Arcade but it has gotten to the point that no matter how "in the loop" you are, it doesn't make any fucking sense. I mean completely, mind-numbingly unintelligible.

Example: http://www.penny-arcade.com/comic/

So, yeah. If anyone knows of anything good that I can occupy a small amount of time with, I will check it out.

Um, Shortpacked is great if you like toys like me, VGCats is utter shit, and....

Yeah.

XKCD is made by some giant insidious fucker who looks like Lurch. He was an employee at Nasa who dropped that to make his shittily drawn webcomic that he based around some girl he met at a party once. Fuck you and fuck XKCD.

On the opposite end of the taste spectrum, we have KC Green (http://rumblo.com/) a wonderful little man who's relatively famous for being absolutely great in every imaginable way.

Then there's Perry Bible Fellowship, or PBF, it's pretty much the same but has no consistent plot. It's also the origin of "Skub" and "Weeaboo". Eat your heart out. http://www.pbfcomics.com/

This.

Also,
http://www.gunnerkrigg.com is good for one with a plot and great design.
http://drmcninja.com is over the top with a ninja who's also a medical doctor. Much fun ensues.
http://www.wetherobots.com is a really good, lighthearted funny one.
http://wondermark.com does one-off strips of pure absurdism.
http://www.uglyhill.com/ is another great plot-based one.

This.

Oh, and XKCD. Staple for Computer Scientists
DON'T LET NATE CATCH YOU SPELLING IT THAT WAY

Now, let me preface this with something (a preface of some sort): Fanboys is by and large one of the better gaming webcomics out there. It might've reached it's peak, and the artist is no KC Green, but it's still pretty funny all the way around. Most of the Early strips are fucking garbage and his current art style is kinda shitty, but sill, it's worth a read if only for seeing someone spewing Seinfeld humour all over the place.

Oh, and Stranger appears in one of the early comics, so there's that.

Take the front page with a grain of salt, please, it looks shitty, but give it a chance.

Read that paragraph through again and tell me where you went wrong.
A) Working at NASA doesn't entail working with rockets.
B) Insidious is in questionable use
C) Caps
D) Too much of a correct statement should never be compacted so

I'll be honest: xkcd has actually just been hit or miss for me, but I have this friend who hates it with a passion, like, don't get him started on it, and I CONSTANTLY have to listen to it if it comes up, so I'm sick of hearing about it and have a bias (duh). I don't go out of my way to research anything, I'm just kind of sick of hearing about it and am channeling it thus.

Don't think I'm attacking it, I'm just an all-around unhappy fucker who takes his stabs when he can; I'm just being a dick to get a reaction. Plenty of xkcd comics have given me a chuckle, but an equal amount have made me think the guy's an irritating douche. Such is life, therein, don't get all butthurt because I don't like you webcomic.

Because if you do.

I'll find you.

Oh yes.

I can vouch for this, Fanboys is really good in some strips, I really like his TF2 ones. I really like a couple of the minis too.

Order of the stick, the first few strips are gagathons but give it time for the story to settle in and it becomes an amazing fantasy adventure better than about 95% of fantasy novels out there.

Also a good reference list is at http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.ph...tableWebcomics

You should see the 5 minute long masterpiece of me bitching about CAD. It sucks, but the fan response was hilarious.

Also, I forgot about Awkward Zombie, danka.

The first one takes a while to get going, while the second has a bunny killing undead warlock on the first page. Made by the same people, the first one updates every day, no exception, hasn't failed once yet.
