Can I just say that this game is probably the best $60 I've ever spent. Multiplayer with friends is fantastic but the entire game is just solid and worth every penny.

Agreed on all fronts. I'm loving the hell out of this game ATM. There's SO MUCH to do in Liberty City this time around, it's almost crazy. Money well spent indeed.

Ah well, one of my friends will have it soon, so I'll see what it's like from him. And perhaps in the distant future I'll get it eventaully if they ever decide to release a PC version.

Damn it, everyone I know has it, and my xbox is broken, and I'm desperatly trying to gather money.
What I don't like is the random violence and doing whatever you wouldn't do in real life.
Sure it's fun, but I think it's pointless.
Is the story good? Is the main fun devrived from going around killing everyone like the last games?

It's an interesting psychological fact that over 99% of the population, if given a game like GTA or Carmageddon will instinctively spend their first ten minutes or so trying to cause as much destruction as possible.

When I have enough money I'll be sure to look into this game I thoroughly enjoyed Vice City but found San Andreas a bit......ewww.

Of course the entire fun part of GTA is being able to cause as much havoc as possible. Find out the most cruel way to splash someone between your car and a wall for example. Or drive down a very busy sidewalk and use your bumper what it's meant for .

And isn't the entire point of a game to do what you wouldn't normally do in real life?

So, I phrazed it badly, I mean to do something we would not normally get away with in real life, and therefore, would not dream to do it.
But ok, you're right, I give up and am solved.
*Edit* I actually meant sold, woops.

ME TOO!

Have been spending so much time playing GTA4 that I have developed a phony
Russian accent.
Do like the revamped targeting system, although still find it difficult to hit much
shooting out of a car window at 90+ mph.
Honestly do not think this game is "thuggish" as the other GTA games.
Anyone collecting those damn pigeons ?

You're so lucky. I've never played GTA IV, because I've only one old computer. But do you know that Steven Olds the production designer of AO worked on GTA San Andreas, and work on GTA IV ( I'm not sure for the last, but you can look in the credit of San Andreas and will find Steven Olds, in "cover art").

I think that if anyone were to be crazy enough to pull some GTA stunts (and it will happen one day, hear me now) he'd get pretty far actually.

On another note I love Nico's gay one liners, some of them are just priceless.

That's not the real ending... I got bothered by it and checked the GTA 4 guide I have here. Roman is still very much alive by the end...

Didn't tried the multiplayer yet as my xbox live account died a few weeks ago...

But the solo game is absolutly huge in every aspect!

Surprisingly I didn't do most of the stuff my friends asked me, such as trying to steal an army helicopter (don't even know if there is one), trying to get 6 wanted stars, trying to cause as much havoc as possible, trying to blow up ten cars at once...

didn't killed a hooker yet!

man I still have stuff to do.

A much reduced version of the first two games on the PS2, released many years ago, just about stretched the PSP to its limits.

Think about it.
