Hey guys, new demo of new version!

Its not orignal sprites but fan made ones by Arxryl

How to play:
Movement:
Left - Left arrow key
Right - Right arrow key
Up - Up arrow key (cannot jump but press it anyway, tis cool)

Speak:
Hello - "H"
Growl - "G"
Fart - "F"
Chant - "C"
Laugh - "L"
I dont know - UP ARROW KEY

This game is now going to be under fast development with it being easier to do then the orignal sprites as I can make backgrounds and much more!

Just incase some are wondering this is not the actual game ovbiously is the testing of the game in its early stages

It will ovbiously go on and a proper full demo shall be out by 20th January I think with some basic gameplay and more.

In TOGG you can find a lot of Oddworld's pics and screenshots. And you can ask to Paul, our specialist, help to do your game !!!

ESPECIALY spritests since I will need still images of the movements, can you do sprites? If so couldd you do one of abe? Kinda close to the one on the palystations, just do outline

If you want sprites similar to the ones on the old PlayStation, I can help. I'm not too good at creating sprites, but I can edit them fine. Just tell me the kinds of alterations you'd like, and I would be willing to oblige.

EDIT: INFACT, there is some thing I need doing, less work then I can get a demo of the game out

Could you change the background behind abe to white please so I can make the seperate images transparant when I use them, I dont want no black in that picture unless its used on abe or any muddonkens.

Can't you just use RGB 0,0,0 as the alpha channel when you load the images in your game engine?

If anyone would like to tidy it up by sorting the colours and such would be EXTREAMLY helpfull since as I turned it transparant I think I lost things you see so it might need thigns added back on so if you could do that it would be most helpfull.

Also, I will need backdrops, anyone know a site or anything?

Cool idea for a project Dean!

Unfortunatly I don't think I can do anything to help you. My skills in sprites and such are far bad, I could try if you could tell me what you want (BTW wouldn't the whole Abe sprite sheet problem be fixed using paint and just using a bucket to make the background white?), and yes, Abe looks a little small in that picture XD.

Either way I totally support this and good luck to you! Oh and welcome to the forums.

Hey, yes me and some of the rest of team noticed he was abit small, and changing the sprite sheet background colour wernt as easy as that, trust me lol. The file type was .jpg so you had to change each bit.

Well, you could help me think of ideas and such, heres some I thought of:

Alfs Oddysee: Abes been captured on his quest to save all the muddokons so Alf was next chosen to save abe and all the muddonks he can on his way.

Some thing like that? That would be just before Abes Exodus by the way

Just an idea, also I need some backdrops that would fit the character size. Anyone?

I can help you showing some screenshots for example these (attached). I think you can make a GIF with them or something. But I haven't got any sprite for now. I am searching something in my enormous Oddworld cartel. I am sure I'll find something interesting for you !

Right... Well if you need plots and story-lines I'm here with them. I can't help with much else though. I don't know sprites, backgrounds, or anything else game-related. And here is one quick idea. Maybe a Glukkon city has been made and it's right over an old mudokon burial site (even older than Necrum). So ghosts are flying around in the city. As a slig your job is to make sure that no ghosts are left flying around. As Abe your job would be to free all the ghosts you can and cause mayhem and destruction in the city so Glukkons leave and then other mudokons can tear down the city so the ghosts will finnaly be at peace. The slig is optional although it would be cool to pick your side. Industrial or Native. It's only an idea.
