Abe's Oddysee For PC

Do they still sell Abe's Oddysee for PC in stores with PC games? Also, does Abe's Oddysee work on Windows Vista?

Seeing as your new you probrably won't get an interfraction for this kind of topic. If you spent a bit of time looking on the Forums you'd find that it doesn't work on Vista. And no they don't sell it anymore unless you buy from Amazon, Ebay and other places like that. Please refrain from making these kind of topics in the future because it could earn you a ban. Either look for a fittting place to post it or search for an answer before you go and create a topic. Sorry to seem evil and totally mean if I do. Note that I am not a moderator. Now wait until someone closes this thread.

I thought that you could emulate the performance of a Windows 95 or 98 on Vista?

I don't know, but there's been lots of complaints so I figured it didn't work.

I believe it is possible if you set the compatibility mode to run in windows 98 and there was a thread in Oddworld Help a couple months back explaining this.

I have seen people that were able to run it on vista, or so they say...

I don'tthink AO is currently in many pc games stores, but I'm sure you will be able to find it.

To my knowledge, only a few people have had problems running on Vista. Many people have claimed that it works well.

Oddey: please do not try to be a moderator. I have no problem at all with MeechShrykull1029's post. Behaving like that to new members will only scare them away.

Also, you don't have a moderator's sense of class or enormous cock.

Abe's Oddysee worked fine to me on Vista Home Premium but Exodus has the sound messed up, the game works fine on Microsoft Virtual PC 2007 with Windows 95 floppy version.

Not many ten-year-old games are sold off the shelf.

Also, Nate is correct.

Does emulating Windows 98 have anything to do with downloading? I don't want to download anything.

You simply right click on the App in Windoze XP or Vista and change the programs compatibility properties.

I'm tired. Someone explain better. :P

Don't be a wuss with computers. :P It's very easy. This is how you do it in XP if you ever need to (which I don't. :P AO and AE run completely fine for me). Vista should be similar. But actaully I also remember that maybe if you're lucky, you might not need to do this - It just might simply work.

Anyway, screenshot.

Heh, I need to practice more with a graphics tablet. My writing looks like it was done by a 3-year old.
