Slig Ranks in MO?

Ok, I know that there are normal sligs and big bro sligs in MO, but a while back I heard that there would be a rank just above crawling sligs (baton sligs), and one just above normal sligs (snipers). I also heard that you could upgrade a possesed slig's gear using a sort of "Slig ATM machine." Was this idea scrapped for the warrior mud upgrade? Is the warrior upgrade even in the game? Could one of you lucky ppl who has MO or just know a lot about oddworld tell me?

Yes, they still have the status idea. Infact they have it for almost every industrial character, such as Sligs, Big Bro Sligs, Vykkers, Glukkons, and Interns.

I have seen pitures of sligs with very little armmor and others that are covered with armmor... at first I though that it was a improved design for the intire game and that the old design had been scraped... but I have keeped on seeing both types of sligs, so now I think that it is a rank like system that they have implored... I dont know though how it works. Maybe it its like a power-up or maybe its a change from the early stages of the game to the latter (vykkers develipping the armmor) or maybe their just all mixed up together.

It is a Sligs job status I know this. We know there is a Slig Queen so I read something about Sligs haveing a job status. Sligs who are lazy and generally mope around get sent to the Slig Queen to be delt with they are called slakers. nobody really know's what happens to a Slig when he is sent to the Queen. Sligs who do a good job probally get moved up the corprate Slig latter where they get new armor like snipers or become flying sligs and obveiously The best status they want to be is the Big Bro. They are at the top. You can say they are kind of like Glukkens in there own field of work that is security.

BBSes are given steroids to become as big as they are
I don't know if a normal slig can be promoted to BBS, but BBSes have their own statuses

I thought sligs had to buy there own guns it would make sense that higher ranking ones would get better weapons because their paid more. I wonder what kind of things glockstar guards have.

Yes, normal sligs CAN be promoted to Bigbros, buit I have a theory that this would actually be seen as Demotion. Here's how this theory works:

We already know from the OW site that sligs see promotion as being assigned to posts further and further away from their bosses, so that they can slack off more. Presumably the Glukkons do this because they trust the ones who work hard when near them to not slack off too much when further away, whereas those who slack off when close have to be kept closer, so they can keep an eye on them...

But Bigbros are much tougher and less slack than normal sligs, so my theory is that if you slack off too much, they turn you into a Bigbro and make you work harder...

Yep, I must be the one with the dubious distinction of not finding them even remotely scary... *shrugs*

And I'm not going to get into the biology of steroids again and how they only affect muscular development in adults as they are merely synthetic hormones (in humans, in the same structural class as testosterone), not skeletal development unless presumably the course is started before the individual in question is born/hatched/whatever. Nope. Not even once.

Correction. A highly sophisticated series of video games with an already large growing fan-base and most likely a film or two too. Could you name a more graphically belivable game with such a good storyline in the fantasy genera?

Please don't get me wrong. I love Oddworld. I was just trying to convey it's not neccessary to try and put to much thought into some things like the whole steroid thing. Does it really matter what did it to them other than the Vykkers injected them with something that made them become hulking beast of destruction and fury to dessimate all that lay within their paths?

I consider myself a writer (sort of) and not every little detail is not always thought about because in the grand scheme of things the heart of the story is what matters most.

Biology's too complicated anyhows... Give me good simple Physics any day of the week...

The fact is, we already know they are changed to Bigbros when they are adults, so what they are injected with is irrelevant, really. For the sake of the argument, let's call them "Staroids"...
