OWI book of of art.

Well as dumb as I am I didnt know what section to post this in so Ill post here.[I probly post in the wrong section.]

On topic: Well I made this thread because I'm thinking of geting the OWI book of art the first ten years and as you know it cost quite a bit of mollah. I need people who have it to convince me why to get it and what version is best for the money e.g. soft cover hard cover special edition.

Oh yeah I nearly forgot, can someone tell me how many pages it has.

The Oddworld artbook is Oddworld related, so it should go in general discussion. Understand?
It's great that you're getting the artbook, it's really interesting to look at, but watch the pages, they smudge REALLY easily, even though you don't have grease on your hands.
It has about 256 pages, I think.

Why don't you just go here and check it out for yourself? They even have page scans of the book, so you could get a little preview before you decide to purchase it.

I didn't get my copy from there, it was from this forbidden planet site, it's the only site I could find with the Artbook in pounds.

I'd go with the hardcover. It's not a significant amount more expensive and it will last a lot longer.

I'd definitely go for the Hardcover. I myself have the soft cover, but after reading it over and over, and having others look through it, I wish I had bought the hardcover because mine is starting to fall apart... Not badly, but still...

I'm getting the softcover, solely because 1. my parents would throw a fit if they found out that I wanted to buy such a "useless and fanciful" item for near 100 bucks, and 2. I'd have never had the patience to save up that much. I don't get allowance and I don't work, lazy bum that I am, so last week I finally managed to scrape up $45 for the softcover. (to make it even harder for me, every time I walk into a Sephora or Ulta my money supply starts to rapidly diminish)

I'd kill for the limited edition though.

My hardcover is in pristine condition. With the absence of any proper substitute, It is my Bible.

I keep it in the original packaging for storage and transport, just to be safe.

The hard cover has been sold out for a long time. I suggest if you want more information that you contact Ballistic Publishing yourself. They’ll tell you everything you need to know.

I threw my limited edition book on the compost heap when I became vegan. That leather was not necessary.

Looky where?

And I think that the "special" one is just a limited edition version. I don't think it actually contains things that the others don't.

Idea

Hey, just out of curiosity, is avalible anywhere in the world?
Apart from that i would suggest that if you're a hard core oddworld fan that you should go the extra mile and buy the limited edition, but you better watch out that you don't buy number 895, i'm saving up for that one.

I don't believe they sell them in stores, but there are websites where they do. Read the beginning of the topic if ya need the links.

Ballistic would probably send to the UK, but you'd have to pay in dollars I bet. If you actually have dollars, then go ahead and buy it.
I'd love the limited edition, they're actually selling it on eBay UK.

They do ship to the UK. Most big firms do. Hell, they probably even ship to Iraq.

Just to make things clear, there is no extra content in the Limited Edition, just a very nice cover and an authenticity certificate.
