Welcome to OWF Tobias. Places where you can learn more bout Oddword are The Oddworld Encyclopedia, as Sekto pointed out, Oddworld @ Wikipedia, Oddworld.com and well, the forums themselves. OWF taught me more about Oddworld than anywhre else. Hope you enjoy your stay here, and yeah, if you have a Oddworld question, try and post in in Oddworld Q&A.
