Nintendo doesn't get enough of Oddworld!

First time I played Oddworld on Xbox at my cousin's house, it was awesome! But it has struck me the question: Why won't there be an Oddworld game for any other Nintedo Console (Gamecube, Wii, or DS)? I think Oddworld Munch's Oddysee would look great on Gamecube! Anyone else think so too?

First off all, X-box is not a Nintendo consol. It's Microsoft's. Second of all, none of the current Nintendo consoles had the power to run the console OW games. MO would look awfull on the gamecube.

Agreed, Havoc. I think the equation here is: Oddworld+Nintendo=BLASPHEMY!
Munch would have looked horrible on N64 (heh, makes me think of Banjo-Kazooie), the graphics would've sent the thing up in smoke.

Ann, MO came out at the time of the gamecube, not the nintendo 64
plus Oddworld has some games on Nintendo consoles.
Oddworld Aventures 1 & 2 were released on GameBoy and GameBoy Color, and Munch's Oddysee was released on GameBoy Advance.

It would be nice to see a great new game on the Wii, IMO. It seems like the best neo console to me so far.

I didn't care much for the Gameboy Oddworld games. They're just not the same....*sniff* I thoroughly enjoyed the soundboard cheat on OWMO:GBA, though.

That aint a fact though that is your opinion, I think Nintendo rock, it doesn't NECESSARILY mean they do rock. You say they blow, but they might not NECESSARILY be crap.
I sort of agree, Oddworld doesn't suit Nintendo, it suits the Xbox.

It should've maybe stayed with the Playstation so we didn't end up bying the next gen PS2 then getting p*ssed off because they switched to X-box.
I prefer Nintendo in the sense that their the oldest company, and focuses soleley on games while Sony does other stuff, and X-box is a newcomer and made by people who normally make PC's. I'd prefer the more experienced company, on the whole.
Also, from the X-box MO gamespeak screen I've seen, it doesn't look very interesting. Not as many buttons to use for Gamespeak. The PS ones had more diverse Gamespeak. Also, Stranger didn;t talk properly either, ruining that classic part of Oddworld games too, as well as the different endings and actually having to save things etc. Shows you the damage EA can do.

I dunno, It would have been okay staying on the Playstation, but the PS2 belongs to my sis, and she would NEVER let me have an Oddworld game on it, she HATES Oddworld -_- I;m happy with it on the Xbox, but if they release another OW game on the Xbox 360 I'll get SOOOO angry.

actually the Game cube has better Graphics then the PS2, have you seen Resident evil 4 for the GameCube? they even said that the PS2 version that they eventually came out with wasn't as good as the GCN version.

Munch would've looked great on the Gamecube. But there's nothing we can do about it

Oh jeez, oh man - console wars on the Oddworld Forums? This is unprecidented. Seriously, though, just try not to say hurtful things about any particular platform. There are some funny, defensive types out there. Somewhere.

Lorne has said some negative things about Nintendo in the past that have got him a very small amount of flak. The last I read, he said the GameCube's reputation as a console for young children made it fall off OWI's radar. I don't keep up, so maybe Nintendo has a different image for the Wii. But, uh, no need to lecture me on it.

Yeah, that's true. But when the public used to play PS1, it said online
that some of the games graphics on it were far better than on the N64.
I'm guessing the PS came out a long while afterwards and
by then game production software was getting better. I'm
thinking it had something to do with the computer processor too,
how good or fast it would run. I'm not sure.

Either way, today Nintendo might have gotten ahead in some cases.

I agree. Xbox seems to immerse itself more in games with blood
and gore as well as violence. I'm sure there are some peaceful games
made for the console, as well as some with only mild violence. Then
again what do I know.

The one reason I'm not fond of the Xbox
is because I can't understand how those (mouths curse word) controls
work. I grew up with a playstation and intend to keep living with it
and it's easy gameplay.

Here is oddword's problem. They decided to focus on making their graphics really nice instead of concentrating on gameplay. I honestly think they missed the boat by not making their games for nintendo consoles. Why you ask? Because people who own nintendos like these kinds of games. They might have actually been succesfull if Lorne wasn't just looking for someone to hold his hand and tell him what a large penis he has.

Correct, yet again. I'm sure a lot of people have noticed problems
in the artificial intelligence of modern videogames. Heck, my PS1 games have better AI than in all these new games
these days.

Yeah, many people I know complain that they can't play oddworld games
because they have a Nintendo. If OWI were to have expanded
to Nintendo, their profits might have gone up double and maybe
there would not be so much restlessness.

Oanst has a point. How many games do you NOT see on Nintendo consoles that doesn't involve and underdog's fight against the world? MO was an adventure game, and Nintendo does adventure games.
