Advice on fixing an MP3 Player?

A copy-pasted complaint report sent into RCA by me.

Hi, I have been using an RCA Lyra MP3 Player for at least two months. During that time, I have had no problems. But at 2:30 AM of July 4th, 2005, the thing just wouldn't turn on. I replaced the battery, and tried activating it again, and nothing happened. Right now, I've got a deactivated RCA Lyra with about 57 songs on it, and I don't know what to do! Is it perminently broken, is it fixable? What do I do?

By the way, I cannot find the recrept, so I'm hoping you can help me without it.

And as for your MP3 player, I'm sorry to say it, but it's basically died. You will be entitled to a replacement if you get in contact with the company.about it (don't bother with help forums though, go through the proper contacts to get the thing replaced, like call them, get the address, and post them the faulty one, or if you bought it from a shop then send it back there to have it replaced).

Whoops, you caught me. My real name IS Matthew. It was going to be Matteus, but my parents changed it to Matthew when I was a baby to prevent teasing.

But Matueus is way cooler.

To be honest I prefer Matthew... I think it's a pretty badass name tbh.
